He has taught up to age 70, meaning it is never too late to start learning. Edgar’s experience in teaching adults means that he is well aware of the difficulties with balancing learning a new skill with working full-time, so he makes sure to take each individual student’s personal circumstances and work schedule into account when organising lessons. With 12 years of experience of being an official member in 11 bands as well as experience in various “one-off” band settings, the main genres that Edgar has the most experience in include: - Rock - Metal - Jazz - Pop He can also teach various other genres, including Funk, RnB and Hip Hop, should you wish to learn them. Edgar’s versatile experience as a bassist shows that he can take each student in a number of different directions and can cater to their individual interests. Edgar is also able to create personalised learning resources for each student, including technical exercises, or even transcribe a guitar part for a song that you want to learn if the sheet music isn’t easily accessible or available to buy.

Hello! My name is Jen and I am a session guitar and bass guitar player with over 10 years of professional experience. I have performed in a wide variety of bands, playing genres such as pop, rock, soul, jazz and folk, and using techniques like finger-style, slap, palm muting and picking. It is so important for people of all ages to learn new skills and discover methods of self expression - playing an instrument can be a gateway to enhancing children's development and future life skills. This is why I am so enthusiastic about teaching music to kids but also to anyone wanting to learn. I will listen to their needs and goals and personalise the process for each individual ensuring they get the most out of these sessions. I am eager to share and teach my knowledge of these wonderful instruments and inspire my students to have fun whilst playing and in turn, excel as a musician and performer! I also teach music theory as it is a pivitol part of understanding the instrument at harder levels. I believe it's really important to teach with the students goals in mind and so to begin with, I would have a conversation about where they are with their playing currently, where they want to be and what they want to primarily focus on. This is something I can work on with students once core skills are acquired. I can also help get students get up to speed with their grade exams and offer musical theory support. Aside from my experience as a guitarist, I play in different bands as a Writer and composer. I have experience as a recording artist at Abbey Road studios and I can teach students about song writing and composition. I’m fluent on music softwares such as Logic Pro X and Ableton and offer Music Production and Recording technique classes at my own studio in Clapton East London.
