Conversation + is a new conversation based format that combines grammar, syntax, understanding vocabulary and expressions as well as the practice of correct pronunciation and intonation with the reading of a text of your choosing. On the basis of a selected text the conversation evolves around the topics at hand; parallel to this, we discuss anything language-related that comes up. Any question, any problem can be addressed. In this way, linguistic issues can be explored in greater depth, based on your specific field(s) of interest. This fosters a stronger engagement, promotes enthusiasm, and openness that oftentimes fall short in a classic language course situation.

Fields of interest include

literature - we read a book, poem, short-story, etc
philosophy - we read german philosophy in the original, or secondary work on the subject
art - texts concerning art, theater, music etc.
science - scientific articles, specialized literature about science
politics - newspaper articles, essays, etc.
contemporary culture - articles, esssays, etc.

Aristoteles ist ein in München geborener, zweisprachiger Künstler und Lehrer griechischer Herkunft. Er studierte Literatur und Philosophie an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Seit zehn Jahren entwickelt er eigene kreative Projekte in den Bereichen Oper, Theater, Comedy und Performance. Er schreibt für die Bühne, Kurzfilme, Gedichte und Prosa.

Er unterrichtete in den letzten 15 Jahren Sprachen an Privatschulen, in ausgewählten Gruppen in Start-ups und Konzernen in Berlin sowie privat.

Opleiding

Neuere deutsche Literaturwissenschaft (Germanistik), Neogräzistik (Neugriechisch) and Philosophy at Ludwig Maximilians Universität München. Abschluss: Magister Artium (2001)

Classical traditional teaching with help of appealing French schoolbook which starts easy but takes student smoothly but fast to intermediate/high level combined with oral conversation. Meant for school children especially with the aim of passing exams or for adults who want to take French back.
I adore languages. I like to teach, to pass on knowledge, and rejoice in progress which, as a matter of fact, is a result of matching teamwork. I am quite old fashioned in my teaching which means that we will learn by serious work and not 'by play' as some schools or parents wish for. We have to keep in mind that the idea is that the student is progressing in his/her learning which does not mean that it cannot be fun.
