I'm an experienced teacher, Master's in Education, that truly believes that music is for everyone. My classes are planned according to the aims of each student. I teach all levels: from amateur musicians to people that sing in choirs and want to learn to read music better, professional musicians that struggle with sight-reading, harmony or improvisation, I helped many students preparing for the bachelor's entrance exams and more.
I have classes for babies, toddlers, and children (you can check my project "SoundBox MusicLab" to find more)

من أنا؟

I'm Ines. A portuguese musician based in Maastricht, the Netherlands, where I'm finishing my Master's Degree in Choral Conducting. Previously I did a bachelor degree in Conducting and Music Theory, and a Master degree in Music Education in the branch of Music Theory and Aural Training, both in Aveiro University, Portugal. Before coming to The Netherlands I taught aural training, choir and orchestra in some Portuguese official music academies. I also worked as a music teacher in many kindergartens and provided a course for kindergarten teachers about creativity based on the interaction of music with other art forms in the day-to-day of pre-school children, called “composing in the classroom”, at Casa da Música, Porto.
In the Netherlands I founded the project SoundBox MusicLab to bring the music to everyone, reaching new communities and teaching new music lovers.
I started my music studies at the age of six, learning violin, aural training, choir, orchestra and, later, vocals and composition at Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian in Braga, where I continued studying for twelve years. From an early age I proved to be a very creative person eager to share my art with others.

This course is aimed at future guitarists and musicians. The objective of this course is to learn how to play the guitar without having theoretical knowledge, as well as to learn music theory, how to read a score, the notes and know the basic notions that make up music, you will learn a variety of tapping techniques for the guitar, how to play musical pieces, I practice the Spanish theme. During my teaching lessons, the emphasis is placed on:

- guitar posture, technique and sound
- timing and rhythmic feeling
- the accompaniment and grooves
- interpretation
- music theory and knowledge
- improvisation
- the directory (student's wishlist)
The study material is made in three dimensions: scores, tutorials and coaching.
After agreeing with the student on the pieces / songs to work on, the corresponding score is shared and given to the class. I go through it, and I also play it live to the student for even more accessibility. And then I explain what needs to be clarified to prepare the homework. If you are an absolute beginner, don't worry, I will be with you, and step by step you will learn to play the guitar and know how to read musical notes to tell you my 5 year old brother is able to play the guitar.
