About Me

Hola, ¿qué tal? I am Queralt born in Nepal but raised in the beautiful city of Barcelona.

I have more than ten years of work experience as an English and Spanish Teacher in London and Barcelona. I hold a certificate in teaching Spanish to Second Language Learners (CLTA), a Master’s Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies at UAB and a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting from UPF. Also, this year I am studying a Master’s Degree in Education at UDIMA.

I have taught in several schools such as What's Up Living English, Academia Guiu and The Art of Language in Barcelona and Habla Bonito, Lingua Diversa and Spanish and Coffee in London.
I follow a communicative teaching method in my classes allowing the student to speak as much as possible in a dynamic, positive, fun and safe environment. I tailor and adapt to the needs of each student making sure students progress in each lesson. I have taught all ages from 4 years olds to seniors adapting to the students' individual needs whether it is going on a trip, improving a language for work or preparing for the GCSE or A-Levels.

Experience / Qualifications

I am a native qualified teacher from Barcelona, Spain with more than 10 years of experience. I hold a Certificate in Teaching Spanish to Second Language Learners (CLTA) and a TEFL Qualification. I also have a Master’s degree in Translation, Interpreting, and Intercultural Studies from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). I am also currently getting my Master’s Degree in Education from the Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA) in Spain

I believe that the best way to learn a new language is through frequent conversations with a fluent speaker. That’s why I follow a communicative teaching method and I try to make my classes dynamic and fun! I tailor and adapt my lessons to the needs of my students, and I always maintain a positive and encouraging environment.
