Offers help with: German, English, Sociology, History, Reading, Writing

As a student who graduated from the European School, I have gained a lot of knowledge in different languages. Having learnt Greek, German, English, French, and even a bit of Italian, I have become familiar with the ways and mechanisms of teaching a language. I have always been passionate about writing and believe a lot in the importance of writing abilities to help individuals mentally, and the same counts for speaking and reading. Language is a form of self-expression that is of utmost importance to life, and I believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn these skills.

Additionally, as a political science student at the University of Amsterdam, I offer help with history and sociology lessons, having studied both these subjects with a lot of passion for many years.

I am a very patient person and approach these lessons with excitement and a lot of joy, but most importantly, with passion. Seeing people grow in their skills is very important to me, especially seeing how happy they are with themselves.

Need extra support with one or more subjects, help with planning homework or learn how to best prepare for that one difficult test (week) that is coming up? I'd love to help you! Learning in a way that suits you is central during the tutoring/homework guidance. During the tutoring sessions we can look for a way of learning and planning that works best for you, so that you can get started in the lessons and also have the tools to continue with this yourself afterwards. Areas I can help you with: Primary school: Students from any group are welcome for tutoring in all subjects/topics or to prepare for a (cito) test. I can practice with your child with the material taught at school, practice for CITO tests, explain what your child does not yet understand and improve the general skills required within a particular subject in a fun and educational way. Whether this is language, arithmetic or reading comprehension, I am happy to help your child understand it better and find pleasure in the subject that may still be difficult! Secondary school: - Dutch up to vwo 6 - English: up to VWO 6 - Art: up to VWO 6 - Latin: up to and including VWO 3 - Geography: up to VWO 5 - History: up to VWO 5 - Mathematics: up to VWO 3 For both primary and secondary school I also offer homework support, where I can help with planning making and/or learning work. Learn Dutch fast or improve it in a playful way (webcam)
As a creative copy professional and philosopher, I see every lesson as an experiment. To keep us both on the edge of our seats, I continuously explore new ways of teaching that fit your specific needs. Feel tempted? Book your first lesson and get one extra! Doubts? Dutch might feel a little violent to a delicate mouth in the beginning. But once you get passed that, a sea of inspiring and quirky new ways to express yourself will open up. To help you move beyond that hump, I will adjust my lessons to your personal passions and interests, including your specific reasons to speak and/or write in this language right now. Two kids that are roughly the same level can share one webcam lesson of one-hour minimum. Keep in mind that we will stay online for at least 15 minutes extra, as young ones will need at least two 5 minute breaks.
