I am a French native speaker qualified with a PGCE in MFL and hold qualified teacher status. I have more than ten years’ experience as an MFL teacher in primary school teaching French and/or Spanish and I am currently working as Head of Languages in an independent preparatory school for boys and girls. I actually teach French and Spanish from year 1 to year 8 and I also prepare pupils for the Iseb French Common Entrance Exam at the end of year 8.
I am deeply passionate about teaching languages and particularly enjoy teaching at primary level. I ensure my lessons promote independent inquiries, are child-centred, interactive, effective and fun. My course will deliver the MFL curriculum at KS2 and KS3 for both French and Spanish
I also offer courses for French and Spanish adults beginners.

About Me
I have more than ten years’ experience as an MFL teacher in primary school teaching French and/or Spanish and I am currently working as Head of Languages at Yarlet School, an independent preparatory school for boys and girls. I actually teach French and Spanish from year 1 to year 8 and I also prepare pupils for the Iseb French Common Entrance Exam at the end of year 8.
I am deeply passionate about teaching languages and particularly enjoy teaching at primary level. I regularly use Makaton sign language and songs (see video) in my lessons, a memory tool I have found to be particularly effective, especially for those who find MFL challenging. I use various language assessment strategies to actively assess the four key language learning skills; speaking, listening, reading and writing. I ensure my online lessons promote independent inquiries, are child-centred, interactive, effective and fun.
