Dear Student, I am an Indian masters student at the RUG, and I am able to speak the following languages fluently: English; Arabic; Hindi. English is my first language as I have been speaking this language over my native language. In addition, I have Certifications which prove my English language skills (Spoken and written) are up to the mark. Furthermore, I also teach Drama lessons such as improvisation and originally devised scripts to younger student to build their confidence at a young age in order to prevent shyness and overall introverted personalities, which in this day and age, makes you seem anti-social. My language and skills training are for all student from children to adults. Adults (younger ones included) can benefit from presentation skills at work or university, professional pitch which may come in handy when you have a million dollar idea you want to discuss! I am a PhD student with a background in chemistry. For my research I focus on organic electronics. I can tutor students at bachelor level for all three areas of chemistry. I live in Groningen and can teach online or in person, according to the preferences of the student. Learning a language isn't simply about learning a set of rules but a whole window into another culture, so keeping that in mind while enjoying the learning process is vital; I try to integrate this idea into the lessons, aware that Spanish in itself is a complex language. Whether you're preparing for official exams, simply would like to improve your conversational skills, or get started from scratch, I would love to help out! In this class you can work on your speaking skills and your vocabulary. Direct feedback is very important while learning a language, which is why it helps to have someone there to correct you in real time. I have my BA in English linguistics and can help you with how you can use your first language to get better at a second or third language you are learning. Studying for exams and working through homework assignments can be very hard to do on your own, especially if you don't know where you might be going wrong. Solution manuals may help in showing topics you didn't understand but without someone to explain how to get to the right answer, how are you supposed to improve? That's what I'm here for. When we meet, you can show me your assignments, exam review materials or graded assignments/exams and we can talk through how to get to the right answer and any tricks you can use to remember these methods. I will not be lecturing on topics so you get out what you put in! If you don't bring material, we won't have anything to go over. My goal is to leave you with a better understanding of how to work through chemistry/biochemistry/organic chemistry questions in a way that will work for you. Together we will find the methods that will most benefit you. I have worked in both group settings and in one on one sessions online and have experience breaking down problems for people experiencing dyscalculia (numerical dyslexia).
