English Proficiency: Training and Tutoring for all Levels

I will teach you English and help you improve your proficiency, regardless of prior knowledge.

I will work with you to improve your language skills, such as speaking and listening, for everyday conversation, high school/university, or professional purposes.

I will teach you how to write better, improve your grammar or simply expand your vocabulary.

Together, we will create a personalised plan for you to achieve your goals and I will teach by accommodating to your preferred style of learning. Expect some homework in the shape of fun assignments such as watching videos/films, reading (short) stories, or writing exercises. These are intended to help you learn and will be made to fit your schedule.

With this class, you will improve English noticeably and become more confident in your language sills.

Ever since my own high school years I have been inspired by some of the amazing teachers I have had that helped me become passionate about their subjects such as English and History.

I have always enjoyed teaching because it allows me to pass on my own enthusiasm whilst helping students to overcome whatever trouble they are having. Because no two students are the same, I always try and work with the student to not only discover what they are struggling with but also why, preparing them to become more independent learners in the future.

I believe in creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where the pupil feels confident to learn and is not afraid of making mistakes.. Furthermore, I try and help students relate whatever subject they are studying to their own lives so that it becomes more relatable.

I myself am from the History teacher in Windesheim, Zwolle and now I study History with Honors at the RUG. There I had a lot of fun studying and especially helping others to study. History and all alpha subjects are my strength and I can convey them to others with great pleasure.
I also helped many years with learning disabilities through secondary schools, so I have become proficient in coaching and helping students plan.
As far as my English is concerned ,; you can assume that it is flawless. Because I do not only study in English but have also lived and worked for several periods in English-speaking countries.

Super easy to be understood!!!!! You may design the class yourself. It is always suitable for your needs and my class is to make everybody understand how different languages functions.

You've worked on your topic for a while, collected most of the data, and you already know quite a bit about it, but now everything has to come into a well-written and logically structured story. That can be tricky, but I can help you with that! During my career at the universities of Utrecht and Groningen I supervised many students in subjects such as ecology and environmental sciences. I also really enjoy interdisciplinary thinking and working, for example by connecting scientific topics with business administration and/or policy questions, resulting in an advisory report for a company or government.
After my retirement from university in 2019, I also supervised students from other disciplines such as history and geography. Perhaps most importantly, I really enjoy using my broad experience to help motivated students.

It can be difficult to write essays in perfect English, especially as an international student. There is no need to worry! I can help with that.
Coming from a British School, I speak and write in perfect English. I have a lot of experience in the art of crafting a perfect essay.
