About Me

I'm a chess coach. I was working as a journalist and commentator at Georgian Chess TV. I started studying chess when I was 4 years old. I played online chess olympiad in 2021. I'm several times Georgian champion in the age category, 3 times I got second and third places at the European Championships in the age category and so on. I work as a chess coach for 3 years now.

I currently study at Ilia state university faculty of computer engineering. I'm 4th year student. I study computer science, software and hardware. Also I love working in Adobe programs.

My name is Daniil, and chess has been a part of my life since I was 5 years old. Passionate about this fascinating game since childhood, I've played hundreds of competitions and won dozens of youth and adult tournaments.
For the past 10 years, I have been sharing my passion for chess as a teacher in various settings: clubs, primary schools, secondary schools, private lessons, and associations. I also teach in English and Russian.
Furthermore, I graduated from the Sorbonne with a Masters in international strategy and business intelligence.

Hi, my name is Gabriel. I'm the head coach of the chess team of the National University of Mexico (UNAM) since 2010. I speak fluent English as I lived six years in Oxford, England, when I was a child and I practice it since then.

With the UNAM's team I have obtained the following titles:
National Women's Championship: 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019
National Men's Championship: 2018, 2019
Absolute National Championship: 2018, 2019
Panamerican 2013 in Durango: silver medal

I have 30 years of experience playing chess, I am a candidate master of Latvia, having an international (FIDE) rating of 2088, and an English Chess Federation rating of 2145, which is quite a good level. I am especially good at blitz and rapid. My greatest achievement is 1st place in English Open Women & Girls Rapid Championship in 2019.
I have around 10 years of experience teaching chess to juniors and adults. I have been tutoring many students across the UK and have helped them to progress in chess and some of them gained great achievements in the tournaments and were qualified for the next competitions.

Chess is a fun game that starts with the basic rules and moves through the 3 parts of the game: the opening, the middlegame, and the endgame.

The focus at first is to teach you how the pieces move, what the goal of the opening is, and how the pieces interact. You will also learn the vocabulary related to chess and chess notation.

Tactics are then explored to take advantage of hanging pieces, lack of king safety, space, and tempo. From here depending on what your personal goals are we will adapt the classes to cover what will help you progress.
