Even though I am specialized in classical music, I can teach different styles from classical to jazz, to film music, pop, … ABOUT ME: I studied my Bachelor in Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona, with professor Amparo Lacruz. Then, I decided to continue my studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the class of Michel Strauss and Jan-Ype Nota. During my studies in The Hague, I did a teaching internship at the Royal Conservatory as a part of their Minor in Music Education. I also taught in several Music Schools during my studies in Spain. Currently, I teach private students in The Hague. I play regularly in two chamber music ensembles: Trio Jakob and Azalaïs Quartet. APPROACH: It is very important to share music with other people in order to develop as a musician. That is why I love teaching. I learn from my students as much as they learn from me. In order to learn the technique in an organized way, I use cello methods, choosing the method that adapts better to the needs of the student. SaraA concert pianist and PhD student giving piano lessons
Being naturally very skilled in sight-reading of music scores, I've realized numerous times how helpful and enjoyable can be to posses that "gift". Now, after being professor to many student of different level and aspiration, I can surely say that, despite their different ambitions in playing piano, all of them were very keen in learning how to be better in reading completely new and unknown music to them. Currently, I'm developing an approach which could efficiently help one in understanding better the composition seen for the first time, through "scanning" analysis and use of logical patterns. I'm a concert pianist with rich performing experience on worldwide stages, 1st prize winner of more then 30 international piano competitions in Europe and USA, holding Master and Postgraduate degree, currently finishing PhD and program for Concert musician at Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
