My name is Davina, I’m a positive individual who teaches English as well aiding with CV construction.

I have a degree in Criminology, as well as A Levels in Law, English Literature, Business studies and Spanish. I also have GCSEs in which I have achieved and A* and A in both English Literature and English Language.

I believe that every student is capable of reaching their goal of passing an exam. The key to this is their comprehension of the subject in question and they way in which it is taught. I aim to identify a student’s current blocks and unravel these to create a new perspective to learning. When this is corrected, answering exam questions will become clearer and the student in question will be confident to answer any question thrown at them.

Although passing the exam is important, I want my students to be able to use these skills as invaluable tools which will set them up in their future careers and life.

I started my career as an English language teacher in 2008 and soon became very passionate about language learning and teaching. This culminated in a Masters degree in second-language acquisition and a CELTA Certificate from Dundee College. I specialised in Trinity and Cambridge exams and also in conversational English for practical and everyday use.

After many years overseas, both teaching and examining English, I have returned to Spain and am available to share my extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of English. I currently work as an Aviation teacher in a school in Alicante where I have taught for some years.

My teaching approach is student-centred and communicative, where learning is a positive experience in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. All my students are encouraged to speak as much as possible to increase fluency. Professionalism, patience and a good sense of humour guaranteed!

All lesson materials are provided free of charge. I teach using a mixture of coursebook material , whiteboard presentations, listening activities, video clips and general speaking practice.
