About Me

Hi, my name is Maira and I have a MSc in Psychology (Neuropsychology). I love helping people through teaching and have a passion for this subject. I chose to study psychology because I love to learn about behaviour and I particularly became interested in Neuroscience through a book by Oliver Sacks: 'The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat'. Since then, I have led several research projects at university and been fortunate enough to be a co-author on a paper in Scientific Reports (Nature) too.

Over my years studying psychology, I have developed some tips to read scientific articles quickly, but to also grasp the general message and findings. When studying for exams, I understand that there is so much to read, so I can help you to prioritise your time to focus on what is truly important for your exams. Depending on your university/school's exam style, I can also test you using questions I design myself based on the literature.

Essay guidance
It can be difficult to find the best sources, read through long articles, and structure an essay. However, with the proper planning, the process becomes much less intimidating :)
