Hi! I am Sam I am a well-known piano teacher, academy director, entrepreneur, and classical concert pianist in southern Switzerland. I have taught piano for almost ten years, teaching students of all ages and levels piano in English, German and French. With many successful students, I founded the Academies of Piano of the Swiss Romande in 2020, which quickly became a leading non-profit academy specialised in outstanding piano tuition with locations in Villars, Vevey, Monthey and Aigle. The academy also offers the possibility to teach from your home. I am a classically trained concert pianist. I was trained at the Frédéric Chopin Institute in Basel for eight years under leading Swiss concert pianists, before being awarded a First-Class Bachelor of Arts from the University of Warwick. I have love performing and teaching all musical styles, but specialise in classical romantic works, and is a specialist in the works of Alexander Scriabin and Frédéric Chopin. I have also strong experience as a classical piano soloist with 40+ solo performances around Europe. He also has experience as a master-class teacher, in chamber music, as an accompanist, in the jury of piano competitions and as a workshop leader and teacher trainer. I am an instructor in more than one domaine. Although, I specialize in piano style musical composition, arranging, lyrics writing, and chord changes. My students may choose what they want to learn since I am music/vocal teacher and also a modern dance instructor as well. In my dance classes, students can learn a style called "Funkstyles." They can learn Popping and Boogaloo, and some Locking also. My dance teachers are "Popin' Pete," and "Suga Pop," dancers of reknown, who also taught Michael Jackson how to do this style of dance. They will learn the basics, and then intermediate courses, and then expert level courses.

Pianist student at the HEM in Geneva offers piano lessons as well as music theory! Basic elementary and intermediate level I also propose a part to speak about the musical appreciation of all the periods of the history of the music. For all ages! These will be lessons to work on the piano (beginners and intermediate) while we talk about music theory (harmony, music theory, analysis, etc.) and also a time to listen to recordings and talk about musical appreciation. Besides classical education, I also work with jazz pieces and pop music. It's an hour to have fun, learn and discover. I have over five years of experience teaching piano and music theory, with children, youth and adults. I can move to the student's home (Lausanne and Canton of Vaud) and I am flexible with weekly schedules. I adapt to each student and situation! Classes can be given in French, Spanish or English.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

I have a diploma from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris (CNSMDP) as well as a diploma from Yale University. Having won several international competitions, I have regularly been invited to participate in festivals as a soloist or in chamber music, both in France and abroad. Hello! I am a Serbian classical pianist and experienced teacher offering piano lessons for all levels, from beginner to advanced. I have performed with orchestras and as a soloist at various festivals. I was taught by the best teachers of the Conservatory. Rimsky Korsakov. I use their methods when it comes to teaching.

At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
