Result-oriented professional cello instructor with 11+ years of experience

Hi everyone! My name is Ilona. I am a professional cellist and a cello teacher with a Master’s degree. My teaching experience is more than 11 years, with 3 years experience of online teaching. Online learning how to play cello is completely acceptable for all levels and ages from 8 years old.

Either you are a Zero Beginner or you are preparing to pass entry exam to conservatory - I will explain you how to practice to become more effective on cello. My current students range in age from 8 to 51 years old and come from all over the world.

I always work for results, so our lessons may be longer than an hour at times simply because we haven't completed the lesson plan (with no extra pay).

Before you begin learning the cello with me, you should understand two important concepts: when you play the cello, you use your body (arms, fingers) to create sound, and you use your soul and emotions to create music. We'll start by learning how to make sounds, which you'll later use to express your emotions.

Please do not hesitate to message me if you have any questions.

I am currently only teaching online.

Extra information

You should have your own cello and a bow. If you are not familiar with sight-reading, I will teach you how to read music scores.

About Me

Hi everyone! I am going to teach you how to practice to get a successful result. The most important component of successful outcomes is effective practices. "Play with the thinking!" said one of my advanced students.

I can promise a guaranteed result in 3 months with regular lessons twice per week.

Students who are preparing to pass exams for music college or conservatoire and who want to have 4-5 classes per week, please send me a message to talk about your program, deadlines etc.

If you don't see available time-slots, please send me a message and let me know your preferred time and day, and also the time-zone. I will find time for you!

My current students range in age from 8 to 51 years old and come from all over the world. Some of my students learn the cello for themselves, others for their overall development, and several students are preparing to enter music colleges and conservatories.

I have a Masters' Degree in Performing and Teaching Cello, psychological and pedagogical knowledge and more than 12 years of teaching experience. I've been working online since 2015.

Also, I can teach you music theory from Zero level until Reading Scores level in just 10-15 lessons. Why am I so sure? Because I have done it many times already.

Please, do not hesitate to ask me any questions you might have.

Wishing you all the best,

Ilona

Really enjoyed my first lesson and felt like we covered a lot!
This was my first , online lesson with Ilona and she was ...Brilliant ! Generous, warm friendly and yet highly professional. she was perceptive, with attention to detail. All my concerns and insecurites were replaced with intelligent skill and confidence building advice. I am so excited about the journey of learning a new instrument and looking forward to a strong, long and productive journey.
It was only our first lesson, but I love how Ilona is so bright and cheery - exactly what my daughter needs to encourage her and motivate her to learn the cello! Excited to hear more of their music!
I specialize in tutoring Music Theory and Music History.  My goal is to create a strong base of knowledge which each student can use in critical thinking in the future. I assign homework and explain everything that needs to be repeated, in order to ensure that the students have absorbed all of the information. Either you are a totally new person to music, you have been playing guitar or you want to get more deep knowledge of Music Theory and Music History - I will share with you my knowledge and will help you to get to your goal.

Cello and/or Piano lessons in The Hague for all ages and levels
Every student needs a teacher that gives personal attention and is flexible, which is why I always adapt to the individual needs and different speeds of learning. Everyone is capable of making music, we only need to develop our skills and with the right tools the world of music opens up. I am deeply convinced that music is something that we all need and find the most comforting in the trickiest situations. Music helps to express the emotions and cello is an instrument that is immensely similar to the human voice. I hope that every student of mine will find their voice and reveal their feelings while playing cello. Let’s meet in our first lesson and enjoy the world of music!

Cello private lessons (and possibly music theory as well)
I would love to teach weekly cello lessons (+ music theory) to a student of any age. Depending on the student's goals, these lessons could range from playing interesting pieces for fun to focusing more on technique (scales, études, etc.) and standard repertoire (solo suites, sonatas, concertos, etc.). I studied cello at the Nice Regional Conservatory with Frédéric Audibert, where I obtained my DEM (Diplôme d'études musicales) in 2016. I then minored in music performance at the Pennsylvania State University, where I studied with Kim Cook. I especially love playing chamber music, and I also play the harpsichord.

Amelia
Cello and Piano Lessons in San Marino with a Cultural twist
Ciao a tutti/Konnichiwa/Hello! My name is Amelia and I am a Canadian-born British/Japanese cellist currently based in Italy living in the Republic of San Marino. Being a musician is not just learning how to learning only the technical aspects of the instrument, but also the skill of working with others in a professional environment. I found that the skills I learnt from music was not just about being proficient at my instrument, but to learn to have discipline and patience (Much easier said than done!). Teaching Mission: My mission for students is for them to learn to apply themselves in music or any field they decide to pursue. Growing up, I often mixed the dedication and time I needed to stay in a room practicing to living a life of isolation. It is not until very recently that I have felt the real benefits and what a gift to see how music really does bring me closer to people in a way that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. Learning to be flexible and having the ability to adjust and respect people from other countries. Music is a universal language that unites people alongside food and sports!
