Violin lessons in the Hague for all ages and levels

Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well. In that way the necessary aspects of a well rounded musician can be built up.

I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced violin and viola lessons to all ages. My lessons are customized for each student’s personality, learning style, and abilities. I put a strong emphasis on developing instrumental techniques and fundamentals. With a good foundation, students are more easily able to express themselves in an imaginative way. I challenge my students with high standards in a learning environment that is fun and engaging. I believe that students learn best when they feel challenged, but also successful and confident about themselves. I am a detail-oriented and rigorous teacher but I find balance through patience and kindness. I maintain a keen awareness of pacing, interests, and motivation so that my students never get bored.

- Beginner, middle, and advanced level, as well as preparation for entrance exams to Conservatory and support classes for official music schools. I also have experience in preparing for ABRSM (British system) level exams, just let me know your goal and we will work towards that! - We will work on the technical skills putting the focus on observing the body, in order to build a healthy relationship with the instrument. You will learn also how to practice effectively to overcome the difficulties of mastering that music piece that you love. - The repertoire could be adaptable to your own taste, not only classical (jazz, tango, blues, soundtracks, etc). - If you love Chamber Music as much as I do, you are welcome to bring your own group to the lessons.

In these lessons, you’ll learn to play the violin with solid technique and body awareness. I teach kids and adults (beginner to intermediate), blending violin and music training with the Alexander Technique principles to help you move freely, play with ease, and enjoy every note. I am a graduated music teacher with German degrees in music pedagogy, Artistic Studies (K.A.), and Historical Informed Practice. As a graduate violin teacher, I offer music lessons. I'm 26 years old, and have BA and MA degrees in performing, MA degree in music education and I'm currently studying Historical Performance in the Royal Conservatory. I give violin lessons (also viola) for children and adults. During the first lesson we will first get acquainted and I will explain about the posture and we will first make sound. It is important to first learn the basics well (rhythm, reading notes, posture and more), I always give nice songs and if students prefer to learn to play something that is always allowed. If the student can already play then we look together for the repertoire. It is also important to practice regularly, you don't have to do much, 10 minutes a day works fine as long as it is regular. I play more classical music myself, but I can of course also play modern well-known songs.

I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. The teaching method is based on maintaining both the motivation and the quality of the violinist's level. Therefore, a wide repertoire is included to address different needs, allowing students to choose concerts or works to practice at their leisure and as part of their progress as an instrumentalist. The etudes are continued as the songs in the repertoire are added. For technical exercises, several etude books are used, including: - Cecilio (for level 0) - The Suzuki Method (as a guiding thread from beginner to advanced) - Kayser Etudes (for the transition to intermediate) - Kreutzer Etudes (for the transition to advanced)
