About Me:
I am a Biomedical Engineering undergraduate student at King's College London. I have acquired a 9 in GCSE Maths (2022) an A in A-Level Normal Maths (2023/24) and an A in A-Level Further Maths (2024). My experience includes weekly mentoring to Year 7-9 students at my high school. I enjoy helping others get comfortable with Maths by practicing logical tricks to tackle any math problem.

Lesson Plan:
My tutor sessions will be tailored to each student, helping them with topics they struggle with. At the end of each week, we can review the topics covered to ensure the student has mastered those skills. My schedule and lesson plans are flexible and can follow the student's learning pace. Sessions will be hosted via Google Meet.

Session Times:
Relatively flexible during the summer, offering 60-minute sessions between 10 am and 8 pm any day of the week. Prices are the same for in-person and online.

Location:
My sessions will be online but can be in person if the student is near West Ealing, London or King Campuses.

I am able to help my students up to A level maths, further maths, biology, and physics as I took these for my A levels.

I would try my best to understand the learning methods of my students and would give helpful tips to improve their learning efficiency.

I do understand the fact that school work and tuition work together might be too much pressure for the students. So I would try my best to understand and give small chunks of work. That would still challenge them.

I would teach my students about numbers and shapes and how to use mathematical skills for calculating, problem-solving, algebraic thinking, information handling, and analysis.

I Inspire and motivate my pupils to develop their mathematical and numeracy skills, learning to understand how numbers work and the relevance of mathematics to daily life, including using concepts such as chance and risk assessment in decision making.

In my classes, I help students master their mathematics syllabus by reviewing their lectures through summaries and mind maps. Moreover, I adapt the teaching material to suit individual requirements, including interactive presentations and guided exercises. Furthermore, I introduce more advanced students to concepts beyond the school syllabus and harder problem sets to enable them to ace exams. As a result, my previous students reached the 90th percentile of their classes.

I consider myself to be an excellent tutor because of my ability to understand and work with children and teenagers. In fact, having both an older brother and a younger sister, I perfectly know how to deal with children and highschool students. Furthermore, having a sister with learning difficulties helped me develop innovative and interactive teaching methods that make my students more involved during my lessons. Finally, being a BSc Mathematics and Economics student at the LSE provided me with an advanced knowledge and expertise in the subjects that makes me stand out from the rest of teachers.

A little Maths is a necessary life skill. Managing money, checking tax, budgeting for house bills. And I will go through this as necessary.

But, for those who are prepared to go a little further, or have to stick with it to GCSE, a new and amazing world can open up of incredible patterns. shapes and sequences. If you like problem solving, if you are a visual learner, the chances are you will have an aptitude for maths. I see my role as one to help those talents improve your enjoyment and make maths fun and exciting. The results will surely follow.

i can set homework if necessary but only subject to there being enough free time to do it. Also, please be selective on topics if you wish - everyone finds some more difficult than others.

Hello!

I'm an enthusiastic undergraduate student studying Mathematics and Computer Science bachelors. My passion for numbers and problem-solving has driven me to excel in my studies, and I am excited to share my knowledge and love for maths with others. I have a solid foundation in both theoretical and applied Mathematics. During my first year at university, I had the opportunity to tutor foundation year students, which helped me develop my teaching skills and deepen my understanding of mathematical concepts. I understand that each student is unique, and I strive to customize my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles. Some of the teaching techniques and approaches I employ include active learning, encouraging students to actively participate in their learning process through problem-solving and interactive activities; conceptual understanding, focusing on a deep understanding of concepts rather than just memorizing formulas, ensuring students grasp the 'why' behind mathematical principles, breaking down complex topics into manageable parts and gradually increasing difficulty as students build confidence and skills; and tailoring lessons to meet individual needs. Some areas I specialize in are Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics, Probability, and Preparation for Exams. I can teach both the Edexcel and AQA curriculum. I hope to see you in my classes.

I have graduated with a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Edinburgh, UK. I am also an Erasmus Mundus scholar with a master's in Analytical Chemistry from Uppsala University. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in physical chemistry.

I have been tutoring since 2012 to fund my education expenses. I formally began tutoring in 2014 as part of my vocational training as a teacher in Ghana, funded by the University of Edinburgh. The formal training has taught me a lot about curriculum development, time management, and fusing my teaching methodology to my students’ needs. I have been tutoring in Physics, Chemistry, and Math, in person and online; the hybrid model has allowed me to reach out and teach students in 8 different countries. I have successful students from these past nine years who have not only commended my work ethic but can also stand testament to my enthusiasm.

My excellent academic career has nurtured in me a natural talent for teaching. My experiences have taught me how to tackle one problem at a time, and I believe that using this approach—paired with my unconventional examples that force students to think outside the box—I can truly provide an excellent understanding and explanation. My teaching methodology is based on two main things: skill development and adaptation. Initially, I create a skeleton of the most suitable methodology tailored to the preferred curriculum, after which, I adapt that lecture to the specific needs of the student based on their knowledge and grasp of the concepts. Second, I like to develop analytical and scientific ability along with knowledge in my students, and for that, I use a combination of resources in the form of worksheets, class tasks, and past papers. Last, I believe in the strong ethic of providing feedback to the parents, so that they are aware of their child’s progress.
