In my classes, I help students master their mathematics syllabus by reviewing their lectures through summaries and mind maps. Moreover, I adapt the teaching material to suit individual requirements, including interactive presentations and guided exercises. Furthermore, I introduce more advanced students to concepts beyond the school syllabus and harder problem sets to enable them to ace exams. As a result, my previous students reached the 90th percentile of their classes.

I consider myself to be an excellent tutor because of my ability to understand and work with children and teenagers. In fact, having both an older brother and a younger sister, I perfectly know how to deal with children and highschool students. Furthermore, having a sister with learning difficulties helped me develop innovative and interactive teaching methods that make my students more involved during my lessons. Finally, being a BSc Mathematics and Economics student at the LSE provided me with an advanced knowledge and expertise in the subjects that makes me stand out from the rest of teachers.

As a full time Data Lead and Exams Officer at Conisborough College, I have a unique view of performance metrics, and the latest knowledge on GCSE exams. With a specialism in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, my style of teaching is an expression of my experiences as a student and a tutor.

My past tutoring experiences range from teaching secondary school classrooms and a lot of work with 1-on-1's. While I have had State Schooling my successful early experiences with exams (SATS, GCSEs) set me up with a solid foundation and ideal to approach exams by myself and eventually find my area of expertise in everything Maths and Physics.

When it comes to exam preparation, my strategy is always textbook oriented. My principle in education has always been to know what I don't know and then deal with my not-knowing of that chapter/area.
I like to use what is known/understood as a warm up and get creative with it, probing the student's baselines and tactics.
The warm up also gives you the winning-feeling about the subject and this is a feeling that grows and brings clarity such that it guides me year in, year out to go and understand every chapter to answer every topical exam question, and it can for you too.

It's this approach that has allowed me, year after year, to assimilate each chapter and be able to answer each exam question. It can do the same for you.

In my math class, students will engage in a dynamic blend of activities designed to enhance their understanding and application of mathematical concepts. Websites such as Maths genie and corbettmaths will be used to help the student understand every topic there is to know. Additionally, they'll collaborate with classmates on problem-solving exercises fostering teamwork and critical thinking skills. Hands-on activities and real-world examples will provide context and relevance to the mathematical concepts being taught. Regular assessments, including quizzes and tests, will be used to gauge understanding and track progress. My math class aims to cultivate not only proficiency in mathematical techniques but also a deeper appreciation for the beauty and utility of mathematics in the world around us.

Hi everyone!

I offer lessons in Maths up to GCSE level. My experience enables me to help you as I have achieved a grade A in my Maths A-levels, and am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at university, which involves maths. Being a student myself, I am experienced in exam preparation, and have learnt various study and productivity techniques, all of which I can teach you to aid your academic journey.
