Hello! My name is Jessica. I’m from the United States and currently living in Dijon, where I work as an English language assistant. This is my second year teaching in France at both middle and elementary schools. I offer English tutoring classes for kids, teens, and adults, focusing on conversational English and grammar. My lessons help students speak more confidently, improve accuracy, and use English in everyday situations. Hello, my name is Jessica, and I’m an English language assistant currently living in Dijon. I have been teaching English as a second language in Dijon for the past two years, and I’m excited to also offer my services as an English tutor.

I can help with school homework, casual conversation practice, or learning the basics of the English language. My lessons are adapted to each individual’s needs and level, with a focus on building confidence and clear communication.

I have experience teaching in both the United States as a language teacher and in Dijon as an English language assistant. I also help students prepare for exams such as the Cambridge English exams, as well as other English language tests.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Paramedicine (focus on biology) with a minor in french and francophone studies. I have also recently passed a B2 DELF exam for the french language.

My attraction for this language comes from its universality and the fact that it is the most spoken language in the world. Also, I remain convinced that the English language is a language that is acquired with the practice and it is a primordial language these days which one must learn from the youngest age. I had my bac S last year with a Very Good mention in European English-Mathematics: I love teaching others what I know, and making them evolve to make them aware of their abilities.
I can teach the work and understanding methods that have worked for me.
I am particularly gifted in mathematics, in French (17 in bac), in history-geography (18), and in English (19). In addition, I further deepen these subjects as part of my studies.

I particularly like teaching children (up to 13-14 years old): I started several years ago first with guards by acquaintances and then by word of mouth.
I like to see them marvel when they understand what they have so far been unable to master.
However, I also like to teach older children (high school), because this allows more intense intellectual stimulation.

I am available to give tutoring to children or older children in difficulty (primary - middle school - high school), or who are struggling to increase their academic results, or to prepare an exam (certificate - bac).

As a student I bring my help to children and adolescents who have gaps in foreign languages but also in the subject of French. My goal is to make the child progress without overloading it. I can possibly give a little homework which generally does not take much time at home but which is necessary to progress. I periodically provide progress reports.

Given the particular circumstances of this year, I offer a refresher and / or preparation for the next school year mainly in science. The level going from primary to terminal and preparation for BAC + 1. The goal is to give solid knowledge bases to the student.

Graduate student of a BAC S as well as a BTS in computer science provides help with the preparation of questions or exams to come.
My goal is to advance the student without overloading him. I give assignments after each lesson.

I speak 3 languages, and my mother tongue is Arabic.
