My goal as a music theory teacher is to help students according to their needs and desires. Thus, I master a multitude of fields of music, including composition, music theory, harmony, arrangement and orchestration, improvisation, conducting, film music, production technique (DAWs , mock-ups, libraries, synthesizers, mixing, etc.) and recording / studio, in various musical styles such as classical, contemporary, film music, jazz, pop / rock, folk, world, and more. I always adapt a concrete and fun approach that I learned from experience in this environment, to combine passion and learning, and I put practice and experimentation at the heart of my pedagogy.

A course combining the two disciplines of singing (vocal technique: breathing, support, placement, resonators, projection and techniques specific to the repertoire of Musical Comedy such as Belting) and theater: construction of a character, work on its psychology and its corporality, reflection on the stakes of the song at this moment of the story, how to intelligently associate the music and the intentions of the game. I can also offer you coaching specifically dedicated to preparing for auditions for shows or companies, and entrance auditions into performing arts schools. A few words about my background: A teacher of musical comedy, singing and theatre for 15 years, I have taught in several professional training establishments such as the Studio International des Arts de la Scène and the Académie des Arts de Paris as well as structures for amateurs (children and adults) such as the Université Paris Sorbonne or the M'Art Studio in Marrakech (Morocco). Anyone can learn music! It is with this philosophy that I offer violin lessons according to the Suzuki method for everyone from the age of 4. My classes are different depending on your level and age. With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs. With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to more advanced. Classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!

I’m Elena, I’m Italian and I’m an opera singer, currently actively performing in the contemporary field :) On top of my artistic career, which is now 20+ years old, I have 10 years of solid everyday experience in the musical teaching field, with particular regards for online teaching. My specialties are: teaching opera voice and kids’ vocality. For both of these, any level, even absolute beginner is 100% welcome! I’ve been training children and teens ever since I graduated from my position at La Scala children choir at 18 years old. These lessons are for young and/or inexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some, this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation. If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed). *My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to assess vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.

Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.
