As a teacher: - I currently teach guitar, keyboard and drum lessons in 4 elementary schools and 1 music conservatory in Berlin. - I give private courses on electronic music production, Logic Pro X software, and courses and workshops on Akai MPC (all models) and the alternative operating system JJ-Os for AKAI MPC1000 & 2500. - I organized the first three meetings about MPC users, producers and beat makers in Argentina, called “Jalea Electrónica” in different universities and electronic music schools. My way of teaching is to focus on developing confidence in using the tools for realizing your creative potential. Teaching is very important to me; to impart knowledge to a student and see them grow musically is something I find highly rewarding. In classes (held both online and offline with safety precautions in place) I focus on each student’s individual needs and cover DAW’s necessary for their aims, from Ableton Live, to Bitwig and Logic. Bio: Hayden is a classically trained composer and sound artist from the UK, currently based in Berlin. His interest in the space between strains of acoustic and electronic music and attentiveness to composition acts as a connecting thread in his multiple artistic projects. Besides performing with his solo project, Hayden also acts as leader of the critically acclaimed band Tether, performs as an instrumentalist, and works as a sound designer for advertising, film, and theater. He has designed soundscapes for Ableton, Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin, and Cashmere Radio amongst others.

Guitar Basics The guitar is a versatile and popular stringed musical instrument, widely used across genres like rock, pop, blues, classical, and more. Parts of the Guitar • Body: The main part, which amplifies sound in acoustic guitars or houses electronics in electric ones. • Neck: The long, thin section where the fretboard is located, used for pressing strings to form notes. • Fretboard: A flat surface with metal frets, dividing the neck into segments for different pitches. • Headstock: At the end of the neck, it holds the tuning pegs to adjust string tension. • Strings: Typically six, labeled (from thickest to thinnest) E (low), A, D, G, B, and E (high). • Bridge: Anchors the strings to the body, transferring vibrations to produce sound. 2. Types of Guitars • Acoustic: Produces sound naturally via the hollow body; ideal for folk, country, and classical. • Electric: Relies on an amplifier and pickups to produce sound; common in rock, jazz, and metal. • Classical: Features nylon strings, suited for classical and fingerstyle playing. • Bass: A four-string variant for lower pitches, used to anchor rhythm and harmony. 3. My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music. I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instil a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'.
