About Me

Hi, I’m Giulia Ottavia Frattini, a poet, writer, and independent researcher based in Berlin. I love exploring the spaces where writing, visual culture, and critical theory meet, and I’m especially interested in how we make meaning through language. My work experiments with exophonic writing and anti-narrative forms, often playing with the tension between perception and self-determination. I write poetry, curate projects, give public readings, and contribute essays, interviews, and commissioned pieces to international platforms, sometimes blending forms in hybrid ways. In 2023, I was a Visiting Teaching Artist at the Poetry Foundation in Chicago, and in 2025 I joined the Poetry School as a tutor and began lecturing at HBK – Braunschweig University of Art.

My name is Santiago and I am offering individual and personalized virtual Spanish classes to improve both your oral and written communication. The main focus of my classes is focused on developing fluent and structured communication of the Spanish language either to prepare international exams, to be able to communicate properly in the professional field or to reinforce and maintain prior knowledge of this language.
I am a native Spanish speaker from Uruguay, graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in the USA, and studied communication arts for a year and a half in Thailand.
While studying communication arts, I had several public speaking classes, learning techniques of how to speak better using not only our words but also our body to help us speak more naturally, calmly, and without getting nervous if we get stuck or forget what we wanted to say. During my career in the US, I was constantly writing essays for my classes, in addition to having to present projects in front of my teachers and classmates. My first priority is making sure your student understands that I'm not extra, boring schooling. With my fifteen years of experience in mentoring and my commitment to understanding students' needs, we will accomplish this within our first meeting.
Often times, students need either support with structure or being intellectually challenged, but I offer both these outcomes. I look at previous assignments and assessments, and I use this data to understand what skills to focus on, accordingly with the standards of your country's education system (I'm familiar with the American and German standards). I also take into account, however, what exists outside of the data, including interests and needs not specified on paper. I tailor my lessons then to be worth everyone's time. I foster skills in research, organization, and writing so that students will continue benefiting long after our sessions. I utilize tools, such as games, and projects to take learning off the page.
My courses are aimed at primary and secondary school students, but I also take on working adults and college and graduate-level students as I support effective literacy at every level.

Hello! I am a writer and teacher from Cambridge, living in Berlin since January 2023. I have been teaching for over 5 years and have taught a range of subjects including English Language, Politics and Sociology. I have worked in language schools in both Hamburg and Berlin as well as English state schools.

I am a Cambridge University certified language teacher (CELTA) and have a postgraduate degree in education from the University of Cambridge where I was awarded the Lowman's prize for English from my college.
