Classical singing/ Vocal technique/ Music interpretation
Hey! Professional operatic soprano here :) . I am an opera singer and a dedicated vocal teacher with more than 10 years of experience in the profession. I hold a Master of Music with Distinction degree in Vocal Performance from the Royal College of Music in London, and a Bachelor of Music with Honours in Vocal Pedagogy from the Moscow University of the Humanities. I am truly passionate about teaching singing and vocal technique! I always work closely with each student, and tailor my lessons to fit student's needs and wishes best - that way together we always achieve fantastic results! Through my lessons, I will teach you the proper on-breath singing with a free and well-supported sound. This will enable you to tackle any kind of repertoire and feel secure and confident during singing. Apart from the technical aspects, we also work on the expressive side of music and learn to perform various repertoire - from operatic arias and musical theatre to pop songs, depending on my student's preferences. I am excited to work with students of any age and level of musical development - from the very beginners to advanced musicians! :)

We will start a lesson with a warm up - in which we will work on technique. Fun and freedom are important in my classes - there is no such thing as mistakes! After our warm up, we will work on material/songs, which you like to work on. We can also look for material together of course! In case you have any auditions coming up, we can prep those together so you can shine! I'm still auditioning a lot, so I know how it feels and how to prepare. .

Solfège & Hearing Training - Music Theory Preparation Courses
Solfège is one of these indispensable tools that contributes to the development of musical hearing. With that a basis can be formed for the general musical understanding. Through my role as a student assistant of various theory subjects (including solfège) at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, I have had the opportunity to teach students with many different ages and backgrounds. My approach: • The lessons are always in line with the environment and the theoretical knowledge that the student already has. • Creative thinking is used in the lessons. This is done, for example, by improvising melodies or coming up with a second voice based on feeling. • I also encourage critical thinking and listening. I do this by not giving too much pre-chewed information, but by an experiential approach. • In practice I use different solfège methods (tonic sol-fa, or using numbers in a scale). My experience has shown that not every system is ideal for everyone. That is why I am flexible in my approach and I will always coordinate this on my students.

Learning the basics of classical singing technique
This class is suitable for anyone wishing to learn about the voice. I teach people that already sing and want to develop further their technique and repertoire but also people who have never sang before and who want to learn how to use their voice for the first time. I am a very passionate teacher who enjoys finding the right tools to make each person enjoy more their singing. We will focus a lot on connecting the voice with the breath and the body and on releasing tension from all the muscles that work together to create the sound. You might think that you will have to sing all kinds of high opera aria's during this class. Don't worry, this is not true of course! You can sing any music you like, including other music styles. Singing lessons for anyone who would like to sing and understand more about music theory
Do you want to learn to develop your voice in your own way? Pure singing is recognizing tones and also putting your soul into them. Vocals are beautiful, pure and unique. I really want to help you discover what your voice can do. I also have a lot of knowledge of music theory and I can accompany you on Piano or Guitar. I myself sang for 10 years in the National Children's Choir and performed, for example, in the Royal Concertgebouw of Amsterdam or the Concertgebouw on the IJ. Currently I write my own music and improvise a lot with my band. Would you like to develop your singing voice more? Then you've come to the right place!

Singing Lessons / Recorder (Blokfluit) lessons for all ages
I am a singer studying in the Utrecht Conservatorium and recorder player graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I can teach you recorder and singing and adapt to your tastes and needs. For both instruments, I focus, as a teacher and performer, on a healthy, joyful and technically skilled way of playing and singing. With my students, I focus not only on the instrument sound production, but also on body posture, relaxation and organic movement. An happy and relaxed body produces a beautiful, natural and relaxed sound. What music style would you like to learn? Would you like to play folk music, to sing pop songs or walk through a more classical path? I have experience in different areas, having sang and played folk and jazz music and also classically trained for many years. I can also help you with music theory, from the basic introduction to music to advanced solfeggi and rhythms. I graduated in Musicology and studied Music Pedagogy in Portugal before moving to Amsterdam. For little children, I can also combine the playing of the instrument with more didactic activities mixed with body movement and dance! I have several years of teaching experience both with adults and children, in group or individual setting. And the most important of all, is that you fall in love with music, all kinds of music, and have loads of fun in the process!

Zara
Classical singing and piano lessons for all levels and ages
Dear parents and students, I am a professional singer and pianist from Hong Kong, having more than 10 years of experience in music teaching. I graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in music (with honors), Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with a Master degree in classical singing (with distinction) and also the Post-master degree in classical singing (with distinction). I am currently a professional opera singer working mainly in Germany with conductors and directors from houses and studios such as Theater Rudolstadt, Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, Komische Oper Berlin and Royal Opera House. I am a holder of Licentiate Trinity College of London (LTCL) vocal and piano performance certificates, both with distinctions (97/100 for voice and 90/100 for piano). Besides, I am a holder of DipABRSM piano performance certificate and ABRSM Grade 8 music theory certificate with merit. I have been giving private singing and piano lessons to students ranging from 3 to 50 years of age. Very happily, all of them had obtained distinctions at their ABRSM exams, some of them also won first prize at competitions. However, I do not teach music because of this. Distinctions and prizes are bonuses, but most importantly, I hope my students can enjoy and understand music. For beginners, I focus very much on building basic techniques. Alongside with that, I spend a little time on every lesson for ear training, music theory, music history, sight-reading/sight-singing, music composition, instrumentation and conducting, depending on the interest of the student. For more advanced students, I teach more about musicality and presentation. I aim to provide all-round knowledge to my students so they will be well equipped for future development. For piano students who are at the beginning of their music journey, I use a lot of creative ways to teach basic knowledge such as rhythm and fingering. These creative ways include colorful presentation slides, arranging a tailor-made version of the songs they like and introducing fun games to keep them motivated. Each student will get something different because everyone is different. As an instructor of vocal masterclasses for choir students in Hong Kong, I see myself as the person who: -- opens the door of fundamental vocal techniques for the students; -- influences them to be confident; -- shows them the beauty of human voice and vocal music; -- teaches them to embrace the others without judgement. My way and attitude of teaching was proved to be successful with a lot of positive feedback. I tend to plan my classes in detail, and give notes to students every lesson. In this case, the students can follow the lessons easily and make the best out of their time. I do not make my students always say "yes" and "okay", I like to work with them and they are always welcome to tell me their needs. Since I grew up at one of the best English schools in Hong Kong (Belilios Public School) and I have a lot of English-speaking students, I can communicate in English very fluently without accent. Besides English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese are my mother tongues. I am also knowledgeable in German, French and Italian. I am confident that I will provide my students the best learning experience.
