I have gained experience working with art masters in fields such as painting, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, and graphic design. I have used this knowledge to create my own path as a dynamic artist. Most of my works are paintings and illustrations.

I use traditional art materials such as pen, ink, charcoal, graphite, pencil, watercolour, pastel, gouache, acrylic, and oil. I also use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Clip Studio Paint for artistic representation.

Do you need fundamental art knowledge, improvement on your skills, therapeutical art, or specified art training? My lessons are tailored to individual needs according to your level and your intentions. I will create a course based on what you want to achieve.

I am a unique artist who connects my African heritage and the modern-day experience through artistic storytelling.
My skills are a reflection of my explorations and knowledge from several art masters. I am knowledgeable about the art of nature, landscape, animals, and human studies.

My art transcends traditional mediums into digital and other design concepts. My passion for teaching and sharing my knowledge knows no bounds. I enjoy showing my way into the realm of creativity and self-discovery to others.

Education

I have a Diploma in Business Administration and Computing from Soteria Business School (Affiliated with Chichester College, United Kingdom) which was where I gained the experience that allowed me to transition to digital art.

I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with fifteen years of experience. I studied art and architecture at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Columbia University in New York. I teach painting, drawing, digital image and creativity. This class is ideal for beginners but also intermediate students who want to develop their own style.

For my personal projects, I work in a wide range of mediums, from drawing, painting and printmaking to digital image and 3D Printing. When teaching, I prefer to first focus on free-hand drawing and painting as this allows for greater spontaneity regardless of the student's technical level. We later explore other methods based on the student's individual interests. I like to teach children and adults via mini projects involving art history references and help them develop narratives around their work. I deeply believe in people's creative potential and in my classes will help you channel your own voice.

I can teach you the basics of drawing such as perspective and shading. As for painting, i can show you whole the process of oil painting starting by fixing the canvas on a frame, bedmaking, isolation and painting itself. I can show you the basic methods of watercolor as well.

From woodwork I can let you know how to work with chisel, drawknife and how to sharp these tools well.

I'm Mia, your future private art tutor if you're interested!

I'm a visual artist working across different mediums, from more classical forms like drawing and painting to multimedia practices such as video and performance.

I graduated from a high school of art and design in France, continued my studies at the School of Fine Arts in Geneva HEAD, and I'm currently finishing a specialization in choreography at the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam.

I'm offering a series of personalized art classes that can focus on various mediums, whether you're looking to explore new artistic tools, prepare for entrance exams to art schools, or simply nurture your curiosity. All ages and experience levels are welcome.

Here are three class options to start with:

Sketching and Drawing
Learn the basics of observational drawing and graphic composition. We can focus on a specific subject or go on walks to observe and draw what we see in our surroundings.

Video
An introduction to video basics and editing software. We’ll explore how to use cameras in a raw, intuitive way and understand the logic behind lighting and other technical tools.

Art School Preparation
Guidance in building a portfolio, formatting and laying out documents, and exploring different printing techniques. Ideal for those preparing to apply to art schools or looking to expand their artistic practice.
