I teach primary school children from Year 2 upwards in Maths, English and in preparation for SATs in Year 6.
My resources are all current and up to date and relevant in today’s National Curriculum specification.
I have full access to the topics to be covered in each year group in Maths and am happy to mirror and match that which is being completed termly at school as well as focusing on more challenging topics. Each lesson will begin with Arithmetic questions for fluency.
Reading comprehensions and grammar will be taught according to what is required for each year group and finally with a focus on spelling, punctuation and grammar practise papers as will be completed during SATs. I cover a variety of comprehension style questions that are inline with SATs and will cover all the skills required including word meaning, retrieval and inference questions across non fiction, fiction and poetry examples.

I have lived in London my whole life and speak English and conservational German. I have taught German across a primary school.
I am a qualified teacher with many many years of experience in primary schools and in the home as a tutor. I also ran a Kumon Centre for eight years which gave me an invaluable lesson in foundations of maths and English.
I have a firm but fun approach to learning and would hope to put your child at ease as they sit around my table or online.

Booster Maths and English classes available days and times can be arranged to suit

I provide booster classes in Arithmetic and reasoning for KS1 and KS2 to revise for SATs in Year 6 but also the years prior to this.

Additionally, I provide Reading booster classes for KS1 and KS2 with a focus on comprehension skills including inference and predictions.

Classes are in groups according to year group and are charged suggested per child.

Hi everyone! My name is Inés, I am 22 years old girl form Spain. I have studied a Degree in Mathematics in my country where I had the opportunity to specialise myself in Pure Mathematics, more concretely in Algebraic Geometry which is the field of my thesis. During those years apart from researching and studying hard to get outstanding marks I worked as tutor specially with undergraduate mathematics, physics and engineering students as well as last year of high school students focused on passing “PAU” the Spanish exam to access to university. I have worked with a really wide range of students, boys and girls who just wanted to get the best grades, others with no interest to do anything and of course with lot of students who hated maths. Eventually we always fulfilled together our goal and on many occasions I know that apart from that I was key to make some of them start liking maths. Mathematics is my passion and I always try to transmit it along with all the interesting things which surrounded this beautiful science. Proudly, today I can say that some of my “worst” students at the beginning, those who didn’t want to listen anything about math are currently studying university degrees such as engineering and they enjoy math as I do. English SL and Higher Level for the International Baccalaureate is a rigorous course, especially for ESL students. I completed the IB with HL English and received a 7 (highest mark) in my final exam. I will be able to go over both Standard Level and Higher Level syllabuses for the course specific to the material covered in your school, and prepare you for mock and final exams. I will include essay writing skills, literary criticism and analysis, as well as vocabulary expansion techniques in my teaching. A brief overview of the key features of English SL/HL as set by the International Baccalaureate Organisation:

• Higher level study requires a minimum of 240 class hours, while standard level study requires a minimum of 150 class hours
• Students study 13 works at higher level and 9 works at standard level from a representative selection of literary forms, periods and places
• Students develop the ability to engage in close, detailed analysis of literary works, building understanding of the techniques involved in literary criticism
• The study of literary works in context is emphasised, and through the study of literature in translation the student is challenged to reflect on the role of cultural assumptions in interpretation
• Students are assessed through a combination of formal examination and oral and written coursework.
• The formal examination comprises two essay papers, one requiring the analysis of a passage of unseen literary text, and the other comparative response to a question based on two works studied
• Students also perform an oral activity presenting their analysis of two works studied
• HL students comply with an additional written coursework requirement which consists of writing a 1200 - 1500 word essay on one of the works studied

In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course).

As many students need to present a "year abroad" dissertation at University level (3rd year in the UK of a Modern Languages or Linguistics Undergraduate course) I can help you to research and structure your year abroad work, both in English (Linguistics) and Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish). The topics that have arisen from recent discussions with students relate to French Caribbean writing, Italian resistance and reprisals in Rome (Fosse Ardiatine), and Spanish Etica franquista in films (among others).

**Middle School/High School/Post-Bac (includes specific preparation for the brevet and baccalaureate exams and equivalents depending on the country)** support focused on self-confidence, repetition of exercises and working methods - DAILY supervision and monitoring - Guaranteed results. A private tutor and coach for 10 years, I created my own coaching method with my colleagues Thibault and Charlie. We support many students full-time, systematically ensuring progress of at least 4 points on their average.

What allows the student to really progress is the repetition of the exercises to have automatisms. The student's problem is not only to understand the course, but to be sufficiently motivated and supervised on a daily basis to effectively integrate the methods, with automatisms and rigorous writing.

After an initial discovery call, the student takes an initial course with their tutor to take stock of their situation, identify their state of mind (motivation levers, confidence) and their room for improvement (gaps, methods not mastered, inaccurate writing, careless or calculating errors).

Depending on the student's assessment, the tutor recommends a tailor-made formula combining private lessons, adapting the number of hours per week and daily remote support.

Daily support focuses on training in REAL CONDITIONS: alone, without course materials or a teacher and with limited time.

The student then sends us their copy, and we provide them with a rigorously written answer key, the corrections for their copy, and their grade the same day. They can then immediately learn from their mistakes and redo the assignment perfectly. The goal is to learn automatically.

Through repetition, this method allows the student to:

- Never get stuck on a question during a DST again
- Improve your time management, by getting used to working in real conditions
- To improve the rigor of its writing
- To reduce the number of careless mistakes

In addition to the training sessions, each coach supports the student through private lessons or telephone coaching sessions, depending on their challenges. Coaching sessions provide time management advice, review work completed, and define future goals.

This monitoring allows us to be as close as possible to the student in their revision, being contactable at any time and being very responsive in correcting their copies.

This method allows us to guarantee a rapid increase in grades: on average, +4 points on the average in less than 6 months (see the numerous testimonials).

The results of this method compared to traditional private lessons are significantly superior. It has allowed many students to go from an average of 11-12 to over 16.
