I am currently a full-time teaching assistant in chemistry at UCLouvain for science, bioengineering and management engineering students for 6 years. I also hold the aggregation of upper secondary education. I teach individuals in chemistry by adapting as best as possible to your level by starting as much as possible from the basics which often pose the most problems. I take pleasure in trying to make this subject more understandable, which, it must be admitted, is rather unique and complex. I also try to make chemistry concepts more perceptible using concrete examples of their usefulness. I have to start by admitting something to you: in high school, I had very bad grades in math. I spent a long time telling myself that a scientific career was not for me. When I decided to try engineering anyway, I had to relearn everything from scratch, by myself. At the beginning I would have been quite incapable of passing a second humanity level exam. Months of hard, self-taught work pushed me to develop a working method focused on deep understanding of a subject rather than just withholding information. Through this private lesson project I dream of being the person I would have needed a few years ago, a person who in addition to allowing the student to succeed, transmits the motivation to learn. I am a Master student in civil engineering with a degree in applied mathematics, I offer my services throughout Belgium and for all students who have difficulties or who want to break records in school.
