I always structure my classes around real-life themes (how to introduce yourself, how to make an appointment, how to shop, how to go to the doctor, talk at work, etc). Attain a fluent level of spoken and written English We will begin by identifying the student's greatest interests — those subjects they are most curious about and topics that stimulate them. These topics will be "stimulators", fueling conversations and language activities that the student themselves will eventually lead. Then, we will identify the student's biggest worries regarding the English language — where they are confused, or tend to make mistakes. This will form the workshop part of the lesson, focused on overcoming tricky grammatical mistakes and revising more complex linguistic and phonetic errors. I am a 19-year-old student who had my scientific baccalaureate with honors. I then joined an engineering school before enrolling in a double degree in mathematics and computer science. I already have more than a year of experience in providing home tuition in several areas. My last tutored student being in 2nd at the CNED in addition to taking face-to-face courses in another school trained him in management and computer science. In class, the students and I used these articles to study the language, discuss the vocabulary and grammar as well as the language style used. In New York, I did not teach a language, but fashion design at the University (FIT Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC) for several years. All classes were taught in English with the student body consisting of international students, which required detailed preparation of the class. At the High School of Fashion Industries (HSFI), also in NYC, I taught fashion design and creation to students grade 9 - 12. Here too, the lessons were exclusively taught in English. For my teachings, I developed daily detailed lesson plans to not only make sure that the predetermined class goals were easily reached, but also to ensure that the class content was tailored to the students' needs and that a positive learning climate was promoted.
