Hi! I am Sam I am a well-known piano teacher, academy director, entrepreneur, and classical concert pianist in southern Switzerland. I have taught piano for almost ten years, teaching students of all ages and levels piano in English, German and French. With many successful students, I founded the Academies of Piano of the Swiss Romande in 2020, which quickly became a leading non-profit academy specialised in outstanding piano tuition with locations in Villars, Vevey, Monthey and Aigle. The academy also offers the possibility to teach from your home. I am a classically trained concert pianist. I was trained at the Frédéric Chopin Institute in Basel for eight years under leading Swiss concert pianists, before being awarded a First-Class Bachelor of Arts from the University of Warwick. I have love performing and teaching all musical styles, but specialise in classical romantic works, and is a specialist in the works of Alexander Scriabin and Frédéric Chopin. I have also strong experience as a classical piano soloist with 40+ solo performances around Europe. He also has experience as a master-class teacher, in chamber music, as an accompanist, in the jury of piano competitions and as a workshop leader and teacher trainer. Hi! I am an accomplished classical pianist and experienced teacher who offers you piano lessons, at all levels from beginner to advanced, for fun or for serious ones (preparation for competitions, auditions, exams, etc.). I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Montreal (Canada) and am also pursuing a second Master's degree at the HEM in Geneva. I also have another Master's degree from the first institution as well as a diploma in performance. My doctoral research focuses on the neuropsychology of music learning and its applications in performance. I had the pleasure of playing with orchestras and as a soloist at festivals in Canada, Germany, Austria, Spain and Switzerland, as well as being the winner of several competitions and the recipient of numerous awards. I have more than 15 years of experience as an interpreter and pedagogue (even at university level as a lecturer). I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
