Whether you're picking up the violin for the first time or looking to refine your technique, these lessons are tailored to your individual goals and learning pace. As a classically trained violinist with orchestral experience across Europe, I offer structured yet flexible lessons that combine solid technical foundations with musical expressiveness.

We will work on: bowing technique and left-hand posture, scales, arpeggios and etudes, repertoire of your choice (classical, contemporary, or pop), sight-reading and music theory basics, and performance preparation.

Lessons are available for all levels — from absolute beginners to advanced students preparing for auditions or conservatory exams. I teach in Italian, English, Chiinese, and German, making lessons accessible to students from many backgrounds.

Please bring your own violin and, if possible, your current sheet music or method book. A music stand is also helpful. For online lessons, make sure your camera captures both your bow arm and left hand.

I am a professional violinist. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin from the "Alessandro Scarlatti" Conservatory in Palermo. I also completed a chamber music course at the Université de Montréal.

I teach students of all ages and ability levels.
I have 3 years of teaching experience in Italy and Germany (privately and at music schools).

In my lessons, I support students in building a close connection to their instrument and developing a positive relationship with music. By focusing on improving their ear training, sense of rhythm, and effective physical engagement, I help them unleash their musical creativity. Each lesson is individually tailored to the goals and preferences of the student.

Hi there, I'm a professional violin and viola teacher, teaching in person and online, in English, German or Russian.

Alongside teaching 1:1 and coaching chamber music over the last 12 years, I've led numerous workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ in the UK and taught on the Primary and Senior Arpeggione Viola Courses run by Jacky Woods, coaching some of the UK’s leading young musicians. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I have participated in ESTA conferences across Europe, including at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, and in Valletta, Europe’s cultural capital in 2018.

I regularly prepare his students for auditions, competitions and exams at all levels, and has a holistic teaching style incorporating music theory, aural and sight reading skills and physical awareness. Many of my students have won regional and national competitions and have been accepted into specialist music schools and youth orchestras.

Outside of teaching, I performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, recently including at Kings Place London, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Philharmonie Berlin. I received first prize at the Małopolska competition, the Barbirolli Prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and the Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition.

I hold a Masters degree with first class honours from the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, where I studied with Tabea Zimmermann, and the University of Arts, where I studied with Lawrence Power, as well as a Bachelors degree with the same distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where I began in the primary department 20 years ago.

Like with languages, intuition plays a huge part in learning an instrument. Most often in music, the correct choice will the the one that ~feels~ the most natural. This is what my teachers, from when I was a kid, all the way to the end of my studies at the conservatory, have prioritized in lessons; Working less hard to sound better.

I’m here to help you in the same way, to decipher with you certain sounds, certain gestures in recorder playing, so that we can map out together your skill set, and eventually find your own style of play.

When it comes to the grammar part of music, I’m ready to teach you everything about reading notes, intervals, chords, and all the principles of music theory, with examples and fun exercises.

I am a very patient person, and have experience with beginners as well as “matured” amateurs :)

I hold a masters in early music, along with a bachelors in classical composition.

My dream is to live from composition mainly, writing music for concerts, film and ballet. Currently I’m working on a ballet commission from the Schauspielhaus in Zurich, and more original music for a series of concerts next summer in France.

My favorite composers are Bartok... and a bunch of anonymous medieval ones.
