About Me

Listening and attentive teacher

I am French but I come from Belgium. I want to become a harp teacher and I want to have experience giving private lessons that will help me reach my goal. In addition to that, I am still a student in the same field.

My first goal and to promote the harp, this instrument liked but a little unknown. I wish to make it discover to all, big and small through courses to share with them my personal experience.
I want to work with motivated students, even if they do not have a lot of time to work between classes for personal reasons. My greatest pleasure is to see a person love his instrument and get close to it at his own pace.
My learning process changes depending on the personality of the student, but I try to develop a logical sense in relation to music, but also a capacity for imitation.

Balanced Reading/Imitation: Learning alternates smoothly between written (reading sheet music) and oral (imitating the teacher) approaches. This dual method allows for the development of solid sight-reading skills while simultaneously freeing the ear and technical skill. To complement this training, an introduction to improvisation is integrated from the very first lessons, enabling each student to approach the piano creatively.

Technique & Theory: Acquiring the fundamentals (posture, flexibility, coordination) is based on the creative world of Piano Safari. Each technical movement is associated with an animal: the kangaroo's jump, the lion's touch, the giraffe's walk, etc. These powerful images allow students to naturally anchor the correct movement in their minds and bodies, transforming technical difficulties into child's play.
