Piano Lessons for children and beginners of all ages

Enjoy becoming an independent & all-round musician!! My aim as a Saxophone & music teacher is to give you the ability to develop skills that will make you enjoy "music-making" and love exploring all kinds of songs/musical pieces. Also, I give you tools to be able to cooperate with other musicians. The methods I use are focused around goals that I create together with each individual student (and/or parents). Our goals are based on both the student's passion & musical desires together with the technical needs to make these desires sound! (control over the instrument, reading music notation, music theory, Improvisation, composition, ear-training and more). Music is a powerful language that everyone around the world can understand, but not all can speak yet... Music-making involves Joy, curiosity, self-expression and a feeling of being a part of something bigger than yourself! Practical Info: - Normally, lessons take place at my location in Amsterdam. (call to discuss other options) - I work with both kids (from age 8/9) and adults, (total) beginners, amateurs & semiprofessionals alike - I play & teach: Soprano, Alto, Tenor & Baritone Saxophones (Flute & Bass-Clarinet for beginners as well) ** FOR PARENTS ** - Music making teaches you about how to build long-lasting dedication & successful work ethics that can be implemented throughout life, in any filed! - Music teaches you how to express thoughts & feelings and can be important for a growth of a child. - Music is a rich lifestyle, and opening a child to that world is a great gift that a parent can give to his/her child.

During my oboe lessons, enjoying music is central. The double reed plays an important role in both the sound and the ease of playing the oboe. I make sure there is always a reed that plays nicely. In addition, I will pay a lot of attention to the way of blowing. This is the basis that ensures that the students can have fun and make music right from the start. . Making music together is the best thing there is, so I like to play along with the students in a duet. I guide advanced students in developing their (musical) creativity and, if they wish, I offer reed lessons. In these lessons I give tips for updating reeds and explain all the steps of the reed making process.

My name is Shak. I am 21 years old and currently studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. I've been playing different instruments for as long as I can remember and I've mainly started to focus on bass guitar. I also play in several bands and I have a lot of experience with the instrument on stage or in the studio. I also know a lot about everything that has to do with theory, so I make a lesson plan that is completely tailored to what you want to do! Lessons can take place at my home or at school. I can also come to you, but I ask for a small extra travel allowance (included in the price)

I'm offering lessons for anyone interested in learning how to improvise, regardless of the instrument you play or the style you would like to improvise in. Even if you have no or little theory knowledge yet, I have a way of getting you started with improvisation and then teaching you everything theoretical you need to know. Topics might include: - Improvising based on the melody of a song or simple motives - Common song forms for improvisation - Theory: Harmony, Rhythm, Ear Training - Jazz specific: Bebop and Modern language - Listening to and understanding solos of great improvisers

Bass is the best! And I want to help you uncover it's full potential. I believe the best way to learn music is to study what you love, and always work from a place of curiosity and passion. Therefore, we will always look together for ways of making the process the most enjoyable and tackle different topics through the music YOU love. The classes are tailored to each individual student: we find the best work flow for you, and adapt the lessons. If you need structure and a clear program, I can provide that; but if you prefer to keep it loose and see as we go, it's all good. All that matters if your continued motivation and progress. Among other things, we can focus on: -Basic technique on the instrument -Learning songs of your choice, with a method that will allow you to learn songs by yourself later on. -Learn about different styles: Pop, Rock, Funk, Soul, Metal, Jazz... -Develop your understanding of music through the instrument (scales, arpeggios...) -Creativity, and improvisation through the use of the material we have studied together -Ear training and music theory -Rhythm, all the way from basic to very advanced -Basic compositional techniques, or fun ways to start composing I have been teaching privately for the past 6 years, with very happy students. I can also teach online if it's better, I also have regular online students with whom we are making great progress. I am a passionate and experienced saxophone teacher who has honed a highly efficient and patient approach to music instruction. I've have a BMus Hons in Jazz Saxophone and am a performer as well as a teacher. I help my students to learn to play the ukulele or to improve their level with personalised approach where I create individual lesson plans for each student for their needs and pace. I create exercises from the songs you like/wish to play and cover the technical aspect in a fun way. My schedule here is mostly symbolic, please contact me for the scheduling the lessons, I can be way more flexible that way.

Dear people, I am a classical piano student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam doing my Master's Degree. I graduated in Barcelona on 2019. I can give lessons in my place in Zeeburgereiland (15 min by tram from central station) where I have a grand piano, or I can move to your place. Lessons can be tought in English or Spanish. I have long experience as a piano teacher, so all levels are welcome. The lesson is adapted to your goals, type of music (classical, films, modern, jazz). With almost 20 years of experience in the low tones world I can guide you in the study of electric bass and double bass. In her career as a recording artist, she has released multiple EPs under the duo 'Micah & Julia' and traveled to Nashville to collaborate with Grammy Winning Songwriter, Femke Weidema, before joining her label, LV Music. I am a singer graduating from the Utrechts Conservatorium. I have studied classical singing with a main focus in early music and voice embodiment. I also studied recorder, clarinet and musicology before. As a teacher and performer, I focus on a joyful, healthy and technically skilled way of singing. I focus not only on the sound production, but also on body posture, relaxation and organic movement. An happy and relaxed body creates a beautiful, natural and relaxed sound. You choose your own repertoire, and together we will work towards developing your voice at its fullest potential, your expressivity and text and style interpretation. I have experience teaching several music genres, from classical, jazz, pop, folk music and even extended vocal techniques like growls. Singing is a vulnerable, intimate, communal act, and sadly, our modern world has mystified it into the sphere of the "born-talent" ideal. I consider singing an universal right. We all have the capacity and the right to sing. If anybody has told you that you can't sing, they were wrong. Like any skill, you can learn it. And if you sing, you, your body, and your soul will be happier. One of my students once said: "You come for a singing lesson and you discover something new about who you are". I think that would summarize well the space I try to create in my lessons.

Was born to musician family and I am a musician who is professionally trained for Piano for 12 years. I can teach from the beginning to intermediate level of piano playing. I graduated from a Masters in recorder at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Cum Laude, with a scholarship from The Countess of Munster Musical Trust. Previously, I graduated from the Royal College of Music London with a First- Class Joint Honours Bachelor’s degree in Flute and Recorder. In 2021 I was a finalist for the Moeck/SRP recorder competition as part of the London Early Music Festival. I am an encouraging and dedicated teacher who believes that effective practice, rather than talent, is at the heart of any musical development.
