I am a passionate teacher. I love personalized instruction. I hold a C2 level certificate in Catalan from the Barcelona Linguistic Normalization Consortium and a B2 level certificate in English from the Vall d'Hebron Official Language School (EOI) in Barcelona. I am currently volunteering as a basic Catalan teacher for immigrants at the Ires Foundation in Barcelona. I am passionate about my dynamic approach to teaching, where oral expression takes center stage, combining grammar and reading comprehension to help students become familiar with the Catalan language through fluid and engaging conversation. In the past, I have taught Catalan orally to primary school students, who were very satisfied with their grades. At the Vall d'Hebron EOI, I also gave private English lessons for a time to third-year students. I used a dynamic and practical conversational method, combined with grammar and reading comprehension exercises using textbook texts and newspaper articles. Through word-of-mouth recommendations, I was able to gather more people who committed to taking private lessons with me, with the goal of guaranteeing a passing grade on their school's midterm and final exams. With my teaching experience, I must add that I enjoy teaching languages individually, as I consider languages a precious cultural heritage that should be promoted and practiced in every possible setting where we have the opportunity to communicate and preserve the dialectical richness that languages offer us.
