Hey! I’m a native Dutch speaker from Belgium with professional experience in government work. I love helping people learn Dutch in a relaxed and enjoyable way. We’ll start with pen and paper to get the basics right, and then move to laptop exercises for more advanced practice. My lessons are practical, laid-back, and focused on real-life conversation, so you’ll feel confident speaking Dutch in everyday situations. I’m patient, easygoing, and always happy to make learning fun.

I studied mechanics for four years, gaining a solid technical foundation. After that, I completed a two-year program in “Defensie en Veiligheid” (Defense and Security), where I learned discipline, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

For 2 years I have been teaching as a Berlitz language instructor. In these 2 years, I have taught expats, doctors, engineers, students from more than 50 different countries. I currently teach at university as well.

I am a British/Dutch PhD student (German language and literature) who was raised in both Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

My availability changes every week, but I am flexible. Therefore I could block particular time slots during the week to teach. So, the best way to know my availability is to contact me (the schedule - down here - is always subject to changes)

My specialization ranges from teaching basic expressions in German, English and Dutch to the more complex sentences and expressions, very functionally oriented with support of vocabulary and grammar, aimed at teenagers and adults (also for companies).

All my students are satisfied with my course and those who had entrance exams have passed successfully. There is nothing like having English lessons with a qualified English speaker ;-) I have done all my studies in English and in the United Kingdom, I consider English as being my first language among all the other ones I have learned. Being a "native" speaker for me is meaningless, the qualifications are the most important as well as the experience (you could have a "native" speaker who makes a lot of mistakes because this person is not qualified in teaching).

The price of the lessons is moderate compared to the effectiveness of my courses. I use a variety of methods and can easily adapt to the needs of the student. I offer courses at all levels (beginner, advanced to university level) as well as English courses for IELTS/TOEFL, A-LEVELS or correction of written works.

I have worked with children as well as teenagers and adults. My 3 years of experience as a teacher in England have helped me to develop the qualities necessary to motivate my students and teach them effectively.

I have a bachelor’s degree in classical singing, completed in July of 2022. I spent my childhood in Bulgaria and emigrated to the United States at age 10, where I obtained my high school degree. I then moved to Germany and completed my bachelor’s degree, during which I worked multiple jobs, including tutoring in English and German. I can help with school lessons, teach grammar and vocabulary, and can also work on pronunciation and communication skills. I love the German and American culture and am very proud of my Bulgarian heritage. I look forward to helping you with any of those languages!
