About Me
Mexican guitarist and composer hailing from Umán, Yucatán. He began his formal guitar studies at the age of 15 at the State Center of Fine Arts in Yucatán. Graduating with honors, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Guitar Performance from the Faculty of Music at UNAM, studying classical guitar under Dr. Juan Carlos Laguna. Currently, he is pursuing a master's degree in Classical Guitar with Antigoni Goni and Jazz with Fabien Degryse at the prestigious Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel in Brussels, Belgium.
His remarkable achievements include numerous national and international awards, such as:
1st Place in the National Guitar Competition in Zapopan, Jalisco (2021)
1st Place in the 3rd Interpretation Contest of New Works organized by the "Panama Guitar Festival" (2022)
2nd Place in the international classical guitar competition "Agustín Barrios Guitar Competition" in Tübingen, Germany (2020)
2nd Place in the Thailand International Guitar Competition
3rd Place in the National Lutheria Loaiza Contest in Texcoco, State of Mexico
