As a professional musician I have played shows with the likes Arooj Aftab (Grammy winner), and renowned British Folk Artists such as Martin Simpson as well as having my own compositions played on the BBC. I have significant experience in Jazz, Folk and Rock Projects. My lessons are good for focusing on performance, creativity, technique and theory. I am a piano teacher with a specialized Master in Music Education and 19 years of teaching experience, in official music conservatoires, academies and private lessons. I am currently doing my PhD in Musical Sciences: Teaching and Psychology of Music.
I also have a Master in Music: Piano, and a Postgraduation in Music in Childhood: Intervention and Research.

I tailor my lessons to each student, according to their interests, levels, and learning goals.
I love to teach and I have continuously done it privately and in official music schools, with students from beginner to advanced levels, from 3 to about 70 years old.

Hello, I'm musician/guitarist/vocalist & singersongwriter since 2004. In 2009 I finished my studies in musical production (2 years) at ETIC in Lisbon and until now I've been developing various works as sound engineer, sound designer and guitar teacher.

Creative, committed and persistent are my main characteristics as a teacher, professional with 10 years of experience in musical production, sound engineering and guitar lessons. In 2014 I decided to move to London in order to improve in a more deeper level my sound engineer and mastering technics in LondonAmp – London Academy of Music Production where he completed the Sound Engineering Certificate course. Learning how to play the saxophone can bring a lot of joy and a sense of fulfilment to you or your children live.
I'm a professional saxophonist, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music and I'm currently doing my Master's Degree in Music Education.
I teach general music to young children and saxophone to different ages (from 6 to 60). I’m passionate about educating and inspiring people through music. My biggest hope is for all students to find joy in playing and sharing the beauty of music with others around.
I teach private saxophone lessons to all ages, all levels of learning welcomed! Each lesson is developed according to each student’s needs, interests and personal goals. I believe that working uniquely with each student is essential in providing lessons that are both a rewarding and creative experience.

It is never too late to start or resume learning piano! My teaching experience makes me a witness to this.

Perhaps you came looking for piano lessons because you wish to be able to play some particular pieces, or to develop specific skills. Or maybe you don't know what your goal is yet, but are fond of the sound of the piano and want to dive into this wonderful instrument. Whatever the case, I am looking forward to hearing from you and discussing your next step!

I try as much as possible to tailor the work with each individual student aiming at the goals set and the student's musical tastes. This becomes more the case the higher the student's level of experience. Nevertheless, beginners are also encouraged to suggest music for themselves to learn.

The work on pieces is combined with other important activities designed to develop finger dexterity, hand coordination, rhythmic sense, music reading, playing by ear, etc. The Cortot, Hanon and scale exercises are some of my frequent choices for the technical work.

For young beginners, I defend a no-book approach during the first 2 or 3 months, for three main reasons: it makes learning more fun, it unlocks our creative potential and it allows us to explore the instrument rather confidently and freely. Instead of learning how to read right from the start, students have the opportunity to play games, listen to music, sing, compose, and improvise over backing tracks, developing the core skills necessary for any musical activity later on. After this period, it is then time to introduce them to a method book. The one I recommend the most is Piano Safari.

For teenage and adult beginners, the activities described above are selected and adjusted, and theory concepts may be introduced at an earlier stage. If desired, graded level series such as the RSL Classical or Contemporary Piano, among others, may be opted for.

This class is for anyone who wants to get into piano or for getting their kids into piano. I teach in a relaxed but thorough way to help build skills for the independent student. No previous knowledge is required and we we learn a broad range of musical skills from the more traditional music reading and comprehension to the more modern jazz piano and reading chord symbols. My focus will be creating sustainable learning by creating a personalized and enjoyable plan for each student. Classes are taught in English but also speak moderate Portuguese to help if needed.
