My name is Ieke and I teach Dutch as a second language to adults.
I teach in a flexible way and there is always a possibility to bring your own ideas. But first of all, we'll have an intake, so we can talk about your goals, expectations, way of learning and the methods/ books we can use.
We will work together to put your Dutch to a higher level. I will also give you homework which can contain several skills like watching Dutch tv, speaking with the neighbors, reading an article you're interested in and so on. Above all, I hope to make the lessons interesting, fun and informative.

The most important for me is that a student feels comfortable with me. Otherwise the learningproces will be hard.
When there is a click I will always ask the student what he needs to learn. We will work together and it makes me very enthousiastic when a student will bring some articles to the class or ask me questions about the daily life in The Netherlands. Everything you'll learn must have a context, so that's what I'm always looking for during my classes. Ofcourse we will use books, but I also like to use practical examples. So if you like sports, we can use sport (articles, tv programms) to learn Dutch, if you like music I'd like to ask you to tell about the music you like and why. So there is a lot we can work on, but it has to be in a fun and practical way!

Expérience / Qualifications
Since 1995 I am a teacher Primary School. And I started teaching Dutch as a second language in 2009. I also followed classes for this specialty of teaching at the VU in Amsterdam.
It is very interesting to meet people from all over the world and help them to learn Dutch. Since 2012 I started my own languagecompany called Alles is taal.
