I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

Currently a final year Master's student in International Studies, I offer courses in Arabic, French and history-geography. My two mother tongues are Arabic and French, which I teach to different audiences (children, teenagers, adults), in school settings or in private lessons. I also have a degree in history, which allows me to offer solid courses in history and geopolitics, related to my academic field of specialization. Rather than exploring history through dates and memorization, we will view history through the lenses of causation, continuity and change over time, and comparison.

Passionate about history and geography, I offer dynamic courses tailored to each student, from middle school to high school. My goal is to make these subjects lively, concrete, and accessible, giving meaning to the programs while effectively preparing students for assessments and exams (brevet, baccalaureate, etc.). Together, we will work on key concepts, methodology (document analysis, writing, sketching, understanding instructions, etc.), perspective, and the ability to make connections between the topics studied. I'm currently working on my thesis. I took a literary preparatory class with an average of 16.5 in philosophy. I'm currently an "independent philosopher." I'm very interested in aesthetics, phenomenology, and the humanities and their approaches to urbanity! My favorite theme is the notion of dwelling. My approach will consist, mainly, of learning methods so that you are more efficient in your work - time is precious! As for knowledge, I will adapt it according to your needs/requests. Need help with studying World history or English? Come on down to study with me. I have a bachelor's in Anthropology and Theatre. I have a wide range in both fields of the humanities. We will be focusing on history and the important human connection intertwined with each. This will give us a deeper understanding of the customs we have and seeing how they evolved to our present era. With a special connection to English since the humanities is a writing heavy skill this will naturally overlap. I hope to study with you soon.

Everyone who engages with politics (which is to say, everyone) has an ideology. But not everyone is conscious of- let alone consistent in their ideology. In fact, most people’s conscious politics are nothing more than an inconsistent aesthetic. But anyone who has a world they long to see owes it to themselves to at least be self aware of their own ideology, and they should probably also familiarize themselves with others as well. I can help on both fronts. This 10-session class serves as an introduction to the concept of political ideology. We will begin with a brief overview to various major academic theories of ideology, before moving on to a taxonomical survey of different ideological genuses and families, both “thick-centered” ideologies, that is, ideologies with a comprehensive core specific enough that they can stand on their own as it were, such as liberalism, conservatism, socialism, and fascism, and “thin centered” ideologies, which have much broader and hence much less specific cores, and hence must attach themselves to other thick centered host ideologies in order to fully manifest themselves, such as populism, nationalism, feminism, and ecologism.

This course introduces secondary and sixth-form students to the evolution of global civilizations, with a focus on comparative history, political thought, and social transformation. Drawing on 30+ years of experience teaching History and Liberal Studies in Hong Kong—including at A-Level and university level—I guide students through themes such as colonialism, revolutions, global conflicts, and modern political ideologies. Each lesson combines primary source analysis, critical discussion, and structured writing skills (essays, arguments, and document-based questions). Ideal for students preparing for GCSE, A-Level, or international entrance exams.

This class offers personalized instruction in philosophical and/or sociological theory, suited both for students seeking academic support and for individuals with a general interest in a philosophical topic. Sessions are designed according to the student’s goals, whether it’s clarifying course material, preparing written assignments, or exploring theoretical texts independently. I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Philosophy. My areas of specialization include ancient philosophy, early modern philosophy, and phenomenology. I also hold a background in sociology, which allows me to offer interdisciplinary approaches to social theory and critical thought. Sessions can be focused on specific authors or movements (e.g. Plato, Spinoza, feminist theory), or organized thematically around concepts such as love, beauty, perception, or subjectivity. The goal is to foster rigorous but accessible understanding, with attention to both conceptual clarity and historical context.
