Yoga is a coming together of body, mind and spirit. Each day is taken for its own individual merits, so no two classes are identical. There is a common thread, but, as in nature, there are many ways to achieve the same end. ​ By allowing the mind to stop fighting the body, rhythm and breath take over. Namaste , I am Aiswarya vikraman , a classical dancer from India. Through this class you will learn the traditional Indian classical dance forms like Bharatanatyam , Mohiniyattam and Kuchipudi. Apart from that you will learn the basics of dance and also the theory and the techniques used in the art forms. Extra lessons will be provided to improve the facial expressions ( abhinaya). Having experienced first-hand the power of dance to shape people’s perspectives, I am enthusiastic about using my professional experiences, skills, and beliefs to educate new young dancers in the techniques, movements, and experiences of dance. I am also just as enthusiastic to share that beauty and power with the community, with recreational adult classes as well. About how I teach, and why I started; I was looking for dance that was fun, liberating, and yet artistically challenging, all at the same time; I craved something that brought and demanded a more humane experience inside of the studio. My interest at the moment is to use our human experiences and bodies as they are. I’m not so interested in trying to force them into something else, but to allow that freedom to take us to whatever imaginary or fantastical place where dance should be able to take us. I believe my obligation as a dance teacher is to encourage students to have fun when dancing. It’s something that’s forgotten a lot as a budding artist, but one of the most important things for perseverance in this field. I believe that if the curiosity, imagination, and enjoyment is there, the technique will come as well because there’s a mutual belief, from both the teacher and student, in oneself. Of course to learn a variety of dance styles, be technically proficient, and pursue a personal creative expression is important, but having an experience with a group of people and letting go into imagination while allowing yourself to have fun will push a dancer even further in their artistry, I believe. To be able to be given images, sensations, feelings, etc. and have the awareness to translate them into some form of movement is an important skill as an artist and human being

Formerly a student at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris as well as at the Junior Ballet in Geneva, I have been a classical, contemporary and modern jazz dance teacher since 2019 in Switzerland and neighboring France. I taught at the "Danse Evasion" school (Cugy, VD) for amateurs (from the age of 4 to adults) the following techniques: classical, contemporary, jazz, parent-child dance, yoga and Pilates. Subsequently I taught dance for pre-pro training at the "Ecole de danse de la Côte" (Morges, VD) the following techniques: classical and contemporary. In April 2022 I obtained the Technical Aptitude Examination in classical dance and since September 2022 I have been a student in a pedagogical Bachelor's degree with the aim of obtaining the state diploma of classical dance teacher. Following my journey and my desire to continue and perfect my transmission, I offer my services in order to transmit the art and passion of dance for you.
