I am currently taking a master degree in the world famous conducting class of Professor Johannes Schlaefli and Christoph Mathias Müller at the Zhdk, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. I hold two bachelor degrees, one in classical piano performance and the other in orchestra conducting, both from The Norwegian Academy of music in Oslo. During my oboe lessons, enjoying music is central. The double reed plays an important role in both the sound and the ease of playing the oboe. I make sure there is always a reed that plays nicely. In addition, I will pay a lot of attention to the way of blowing. This is the basis that ensures that the students can have fun and make music right from the start. . Making music together is the best thing there is, so I like to play along with the students in a duet. I guide advanced students in developing their (musical) creativity and, if they wish, I offer reed lessons. In these lessons I give tips for updating reeds and explain all the steps of the reed making process.
