Digital Photography for Beginners and Camera Operation Basics

These days photography is present in every aspect of our daily lives. We photograph more pictures than in every past point in history, yet how many of those images are good? Understanding the key elements of photography and camera operation can make all the difference between "just a photo" and a meaningful one.
With an experience of 15 years working as a professional photojournalist, my goal is to pass forward my knowledge and enthusiasm. It takes no more than a few meetings to notice the improvements in your photography.

Who is it for?
- If you are taking your first steps in the world of digital photography.
- If you recently got a new Digital camera and feel lost in the sea of options, configurations, and operations.
- If you just want to get better at taking photos of your next trip or some free time with the children or grandchildren.
I can guide you through the way to make much more from your newly purchased camera or even smartphone,
from the basic steps of the operation to the point you will be able to take beautiful and creative images.

With an experience of 15 years working as a professional photojournalist, my goal these days is to pass forward my knowledge, enthusiasm and love to the medium of photography.

Education

I hold a B.Des from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, where I stidied visual communication between the years 2009-2013. In 2013 I was one of one hundered students carfully selected to take part in the Eddie Adams Workshop In 2013, teaming up with top professional photographers and editors in a four-day gathering that includes assignments, portfolio reviews, panel discussions and presentations.

I am a photographer, photojournalist and visual artist living in Berlin. As part of my journalistic work, I cover news events and social issues in the German capital and abroad. My images are published regularly in various leading newspapers and magazines.

My name is Lucas, I'm a 37 years old graphic designer and collage illustrator.
I created this course to introduce new-comers and intermediate Photoshop users to develop their abilities, learn new tricks and use Photoshop for personal and professional goals.

The course is adapted to the student's current knowledge and objectives with the software to learn the basic features, image uses for print and web, how to combine Photoshop's features to achieve goals, photo-treating features, advanced effects and tricks, interacting with other Adobe Softwares, and more.

The course is conducted in either English, Portuguese or Spanish. We can discuss the possibilities of conducting it in German or French.
I can commute to your desired place within the Ringbahn, and your will need a computer with a later Photoshop installed. :)

Movement can be funny, so can you or not. You chose or not. Being funny can be learned as being expressive.

I have studied Lecoq Technique(Pantomime, Tragedy, Drama, Mask Theater, Clown) and Decroux (Mime Corporel). These are physical theater approaches. I am passionate about moving the body in space and the effect it brings. Finding the humor in the physicality and rhythm delightens my everyday life and I am happy to share the fun.

I am very open to adjust to your needs, if you have an idea what you want, tell me and we do it. I can also help you with your performance or when you are a circus artist and want to level up your acting skill.

This class is for all music enthusiasts, whether you’re just getting started and need a solid foundation or already experienced and looking to level up.
I’m a DJ and music production instructor with 15 years of experience, founder and instructor at DJ School Berlin. I also run my own label and organize events.
My classes take place in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere, and are fully focused on your needs and goals. I teach both fundamental concepts and creative techniques, while supporting you in the development of your artistic project

I also compose music for media (trailers, films, ads, games, etc) and perform live focusing on sound exploration and experimental performance.
This means we can absolutely work on different musical genres or more unconventional, creative approaches.

Passionate about dancefloor energy, it’s behind the decks and my machines that I feel most alive — and I truly love passing that on.
I perform regularly in Berlin in clubs such as Watergate, Sisyphos, Hoppetosse, RSO, Golden Gate, etc., as well as abroad, most recently in Belgrade, London, Amsterdam, Paris, etc.

Having worked in an artist management agency (Talent Scoot), I bring an added layer to the sessions — connecting technical skills with artistic vision, and helping you shape and push your artistic project forward

Sessions usually last 2 hours and can take place face-to-face or online, solo or in a group.

. Group sessions (1-3) are friendly, less expensive, and more dynamic in terms of learning. Observing another student practicing, discussing techniques, or receiving feedback often leads to valuable insights.
. One-on-one lessons are ideal if you prefer a personalised and efficient approach, fully adapted to your pace and goals.

I'll give you the keys to:
- Master the fundamentals of DJing on CDJs or vinyl
- Develop your own sound and mixing style
- Configure and fine-tune your DJ software (Rekordbox, Traktor)
- Perfect beatmatching, phrasing, and harmonic mixing
- Create smooth transitions and dynamic cuts for engaging sets
- Understand track selection and crowd reading to build energy
- Discover new music (digging) and organize your library efficiently
- Prepare your sets and tracklists for gigs or recordings
- Learn to record, edit, and share your mixes and podcasts
- Understand sound systems and performance setups for live events

I'll also accompany you and advise you on the purchase of your equipment.

Classes take place either in my studio in Kreuzberg, equipped with 2 CDJs, 2 vinyl decks, a professional mixer, and a full sound system, or online with a new technic I developed for a immersive learning experience. Sessions are followed by review sheets and homework assignments.
They are a mix of theory and practice, covering not just technical skills but also the artistic and performance aspects of DJing, with plenty of pro tips and creative insights to help you build your identity as a DJ.
