Nathan has been playing Guitar and studying Music for over 15 years, from Primary School right through to the current day in University. Beginning just under a year ago, Nathan has thoroughly enjoyed passing on his enthusiasm and passion for Guitar and Music alike through tutoring. Nathan has several qualifications in Music, including GCSE, A Level and First Class honours in Musical Arts (BA) and, starting with a Masters, he hopes to add to these qualifications in the future. Nathan’s teaching style revolves around his students and therefore adapts to the different students he is teaching, considering their skill level, age and personality when approaching each lesson. Alongside teaching, Nathan is hugely passionate about playing in his Function Band, recording and mixing songs and of course listening to music almost none stop. Nathan teaches Guitar from beginners to intermediate level players and teaches Music Theory up to grade 5 of all ages. Nathan’s lessons include breaking down the fundamentals of both guitar ad theory, from posture, fingering technique, scales, arpeggios, chords, rhythm, melody and anything else the student wishes to learn. He will teach any exam boards requested, preparing his students for their respective exams by breaking down each technical component previously mentioned with specific focus given to each section of the exam. Whether the student wishes to focus on melody, rhythm, chords or just playing their favourite band’s songs, he will devote all his energy to providing the required tutoring in helping his students fulfil these wishes, whilst enjoying themselves in the process. Nathan will give his all to teaching as many genres as he possibly can, although has vast experience in classical and pop music, particularly Funk, Rock and Jazz. His first lesson with any student will be relaxed, with the aim of figuring out the students skill level and what they wish to achieve through their lessons. The student simply needs to let Nathan know their priorities in terms of what they wish to learn and their enthusiasm in achieving this. It is common for Nathan to prepare warm-up exercises for his students, such as stretching exercises for the wrists and hands, along with exercises to develop the technique of each hand, for example finger/plectrum exercises and chromatic scales.

Trusted teacher: Do you want to learn how to produce electronic music? My name is Lloyd and I am a touring DJ & Producer, who has released on labels including Morph (Miami), King Street (New York), Somatic Records (London), and many more. I have taught so many awesome talents , and now I'm looking for people like you, who want to either make a start producing music, or develop skills already acquired on Ableton Live. My music production tuition is split into the following sessions as an initial course: SESSION 1 - Getting started: Clip View, Arrangement vs Session View, Device View, (Browser and Toolbars) - import your sounds and download free Virtual Studio Technology plug ins. Arrangement view techniques and taking initial session ideas to arrangement. SESSION 2 - Working with MIDI, making a groove from drums. Methods that can be replicated every time you start a dance track. Creation of loops and velocities. Quantisation of recorded MIDI. Here, you will write your own basslines/melodies. SESSION 3 - Working with Audio - grid settings, warping, looping. Recording external audio and fitting within the mix. SESSION 4 - Mixing, Processing and automation. Using various effect types to spark interest across the track, by adopting plug ins, send and return tracks. Making sure that there are not phasing issues, and learning the basics of EQ and compression. SESSION 5/6 - You take the lead! What aspects would you like to further work on? I will analyse your track here, with critical analysis and see how we can improve the final arrangement, so it’s dance floor ready. Bounce to WAV file for storage. What's better is that I own four record labels, so if I feel that you have a polished track ready to go, you have an outlet to get it heard, with a solid marketing team backing your development as an artist!

¡Bienvenidos! I try to make my classes as relatable as possible to my own experiences doing the Leaving Certificate & Junior Certificate. I understand the mind of a spanish student aiming to improve their grammar, reading, writing, listening skills etc. I have a number of the tips and tricks from my experiences, which can help students to improve and feel confident in these areas. Furthermore, I understand the Leaving Certificate, with my lessons taking an exam focus. I can help students to overcome the areas they find most challenging and to help them feel comfortable when doing the state exam. I have a number of resources from my own time in school, and resources which have been passed on to me by current teachers for both Leaving/Junior Certificate students. An area of focus will be improving the students oral capabilities as this is an area where many students fall behind in the final exam but is also an area which can bring on big improvements in a students overall spanish level. My focus in lessons will be particular to each students needs. I will work with students to understand what areas they are weak in and how to improve them. I can help them with homework and study out of class. A focus of my style is to keep the students interested and stimulated by providing them with interesting content and to relate this content to my own experiences of spanish language and culture. Finally, the best way to improve one's language skills is through practice. Therefore, I will encourage students to practice at home, in class and in my lessons as much as possible.
