By using a wide variety of media, I am able to teach not only a general skill in the English language, but the confidence to use it in real life situations. Why is history important? What can we learn from the past that is relevant today, or interesting enough to study in great detail? These are extremely important questions that many students face when they have to study world history. Often, however, these questions are never properly answered. The first aim of my class is to tackle these questions head on, to encourage a real interest in past ways of life and the role of history. The secondary role of my tuition is to help the student become more confident in their writing: how they can formulate their ideas into a strong, coherent piece of work.
