These sessions are for anyone wishing to immerse themselves in the world of jazz, from beginners to intermediate levels, as well as those who wish to prepare for conservatory entrance auditions.
- Jazz Style and Interpretation: Work on jazz phrasing, swing, rhythm and text placement on the great jazz standards.
- Jazz Improvisation and Scat: Introduction to jazz vocal improvisation and development of melodic invention.
- Applied Jazz Theory and Ear Training: Reading jazz chord charts, understanding jazz harmony and working on listening skills.
- Essential vocal technique: Basic concepts (breathing, posture) addressed in a practical way according to the needs of the jazz piece being studied.
The goal is to provide concrete tools to sing the jazz repertoire independently, develop your own stylistic identity or succeed in your conservatory entrance exams.
