Been a part time hobbyist musician since 2010, and I am excited to spending some time offering guitar lessons to interested people. One can learn to play as fast as 3 months , and then work every following year towards mastery at their own merit. The courses offered have the option to take the crash course (recommended for those who can only commit for a shorter amount of time) as well as an advanced course which covers aspects of music theory as well when learning the guitar. Hello! I’m a professional violinist/violist currently living in Frankfurt. I have a Bachelors and Masters Degree in violin performance from the Eastman School of Music and am currently playing in an ensemble academy in Frankfurt. I have around 10 years of teaching experience using the Suzuki method as well as other method books. I have taught many students from age 3 through adults at all levels. I adapt my teaching to the needs of each individual student and make sure that my students are learning about music theory, note reading, and music history as well.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Later I moved to Canada to continue my education with professor Lee Kum Sing at Vancouver Academy of Music (2017-2019). During my career I have achieved numerous awards on many significant piano competitions. I become platinum winner at Vancouver International Music Competition in 2017 which was held to celebrate 150th Canada’s birthday. I became Platinum Cash Prize Winner and achieved numerous extra prices. In October 2015 I accomplished the second round of XVII International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. This achievement is a promotion to the top 30 world best young pianists. I achieved 3rd place twice (2013, 2015) in the National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. In 2008, I won the first prize and the Special Award of Elżbieta Stefańska for the best performance of Johann Sebastian Bach piece at the 10th Ludwik Stefański and Halina Czerny-Stefańska Piano Competition in Płock, Poland. Two years later I received second price in the 16th Polish Piano Competition in Konin, Poland and I was awarded the third prize at the International Podkarpacki Chopin Competition held in Rzeszów, Poland. I have been awarded many scholarships, such as those sponsored by the Mayor of my hometown Katowice, the Marshal of Silesian Province and the Polish Prime Minister. I cooperated with Piotr Kler Foundation and recorded three solo CDs with Fryderyk Chopin's music. In 2014 I was the very first to receive a Krystian Zimerman Award for most talented young pianists.

Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.
