I propose saxophone lessons for all ages, all levels, and in all styles. I have been running private lessons for 25 years, as well as giving workshops and master classes in colleges and universities. During a lesson I encourage the student to work on: posture, breathing and the position of the mouth (embouchure), helping the projection of sound; the development of the tone; i teach the student how to phrase and play a beautiful melody; techniques of improvisation; understanding harmony; having confidence in his/her playing skills; techniques of listening and interacting with the rhythm section; learning new songs and experiencing different styles of music; Introductions to key saxophonists. Hello, my name is Nikita, I am 21 years old. I've been learning about music since I was 4 y/o. I finnished the music college in my hometown of Kaluga, Russia as an academic solo performer artist/saxophone teacher/conductor. Throughout the years I had numerous concerts, competitions, worked as a children's music teacher in an art school, had few private students, worked as an illustrator at the youth wind orchestra. If you are a parent, who is looking for some kind of hobby for their child and/or considering a possible music career for them in the future - I can offer a recorder course + brief Western Music Theory course for you. If you are more experienced or your child is already attending a music school I can be a supporting teacher since it could be difficult to make yourself practice at times, but I can walk you through this routine sharing some of my own techniques in the process. If you have more specific goals in your mind we can always figure them out together, it is never late to start.

Student at the Lausanne music school, I offer saxophone lessons. My experience playing in very varied ensembles and styles (chamber music, metal groups, rock, funk, Cuban, gospel, tango, orchestras, big jazz band, etc.) and with various musical instruments has allowed me to allowed us to develop a versatile musical approach. I followed a classical conservatory course in guitar and saxophone, then a jazz saxophone course. I am currently studying Bass Jazz, double bass and piano at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne, while continuing my activities as a saxophonist. At the same time, I worked as a teacher and researcher in acoustics in different universities. During my lessons, I guide the student through a progressive and structured educational approach while guiding him or her in learning pieces that correspond to their objectives. I offer a lot of duets to raise awareness about playing together. Finally, I try to transmit a musical sensitivity that will allow the student to flourish in various musical contexts.

She has extensive music teaching experience both privately and in schools with woodwinds teaching in 1-to-1b and group settings, as well as conducting bands, and choirs. She plays and teaches oboe, cor anglais, flute, clarinet, bassoon, recorder, and saxophone, and has performed both as a soloist and with a variety of orchestras, chamber groups, and musical theatre bands in the UK and across Eastern and Central Europe, and has used improvisation to create short soundtracks for animations and documentaries. Her teaching toolkit includes an accessible fun repertoire alongside more formal pieces, exercises to develop breathing techniques, enhance your technical ease and enhance sight-reading skills, and improvisation as a method to build self-confidence and creativity as a performer. YOUR FIRST LESSON During your first lesson, you will first have a quick discussion about your musical background, choice of instrument, and your musical goals. If you are a beginner, you will then learn how to set up and care for your instrument, mouthpiece, and reed. Then make sounds on your mouthpiece/reed and work on tounging, breathing, posture, and rhythm using your mouthpiece/reed, and play with the full instrument. If you already have knowledge of the instrument you will work on various techniques and exercises using sight reading, memory, improvisation, and a piece you have brought with you or she will provide for you if you have nothing prepared. You will leave your lesson with a clear understanding of your instrument and practice goals for your musical ambitions and aspirations. In the classes we will address the different elements that make up music in different styles, knowing the particular language of each one. To do this, we will work on the different tools that we have with each instrument at the level at which each one is. We all know music but many times they make us believe that no, that it is necessary to know how to read and write. That is the graphic part of the language that we will learn little by little, music is a compendium of many other things. Some that we already know and others to know. We will study the use of the keys and the positions of the clarinet, or the sax, the best way to position ourselves whether we play standing or sitting, the most efficient way to use the air, the diaphragm, the muscles. We will learn to form a good embouchure and we will develop a study method adapted to each one, according to their tastes, possibilities and interests. I work with boys and girls from different parts of the world as well as with adults and the elderly. In my experience I learned that, truly, the greatest limitation that we find ourselves is the very feeling of not being able, of believing that we cannot. The support of a dedicated teacher is essential to get out of those places where we accidentally enter and that sometimes limit us. We all feel that sometime. It is time for us to remedy it. Hello! I am a professional, conservatoire-trained musician. I have worked on the West End, in regional and touring theatre, and as a gigging musician. I am also a highly experienced music teacher. We can work out many different topics together, such as learning tunes, technique, improvising, as well as approaching theory, reading, circular breathing, altissimo register and multiphonics...
