Piano & Vocals - Pop & Jazz (Contemporary) Music Performance

Are you interested in learning how to play the music of your current favourite artist or band, whilst also developing your own style and personality to the pop music you love?
I have a Bachelors degree in contemporary songwriting & performance, plus years of experience playing in my own jazz / pop bands as well as function projects where we cover a whole range of genre.
Together we can progress abilities such as
- Combining the elements of playing and singing at the same time
- Learning to read and use online materials such as chord sheets, jazz lead charts & learning from ear.
- Progressing the way you play cover music with techniques such as harmonic progression, chord inversions / re-harmonisation, feel changes
- Improvisation & Soloing
- Creating rhythmic patterns with right/left hand seperation
- Vocal and Piano technique ensuring healthy tendencies to your playing (using vocal chords correctly, posture whilst playing etc...)
- Performance technique (instrument tone, microphone technique, audience engagement)
- Home recording
We can build a lesson plan based on the music you love, and what aspect of your musical skillset your looking at developing!

Présentation
I am a musician based in Liverpool active in the jazz + function band scene.
After studying classical music until the age of 14, I discovered the wonders of playing music without the boundaries of fully written sheet music. I swiftly started performing my own covers of my favourite singer-songwriter musicians, as well as writing my own music inspired by eclectic Spotify playlists.
As my learning career developed right the way from school to university I have collated all the different techniques I have learnt that now allows me to be a full time musician. As a part of a band called 'Olvine' where we write and arrange our own music and perform it across Liverpool and Tour around the UK. As well as my own function band performing in bars/clubs as well as weddings/events - this requires us to have a vast dynamic range of popular music readily available to suit whatever energy the room requires!
