Hi! I’m Masida. I’m a 20-year-old student in my first year of uni here in Belgium. I grew up speaking English, but I also went to a French high school, so I know exactly how frustrating it feels to try and find the right words in a second language! I live in Brussels but commute to Antwerp for university.
What our sessions look like:
Since I’m currently working toward my TEFL certificate, I’m not a "formal" professional teacher yet. Think of me more as a native speaking partner.
We can chat about music, uni life, movies, or whatever you’re interested in.
I’m not here to grill you on complex grammar rules (I’m still perfecting those myself!). I’m here to help you sound more natural.
Great for Kids: Since I used to tutor math in high school, I’m very patient with younger learners. I keep it simple and fun.
If you get stuck, don’t worry—on peut basculer en français. I can help explain things in French so you don't feel lost.

Extra information

since I focus on conversations, I do not usually use heavy textbooks. We will mostly use real life topics, online articles, or just free-flowing talk to get you comfortable speaking. If you have more homework or a specific book you want to work through together, feel free to bring it! Honestly, you yourself are enough! if we are to meet in person, it will most likely be at a public library. For my first lessons with new students, I prefer to meet at a public library or café to get to know each other before transitioning to home visits.

Academic support for English courses is a simple and effective system to help everyone who wants to learn or have academic support for this magnificent language spoken all over the world.

Growing up in Kenya, English is my first language. I also have a degree from Cambridge University proving my proficiency in English.

My primary goal is to provide support to the student via an individualized pedagogy, in order to complete the school curriculum. Indeed, each child has a different method, visual, auditory, .. and I will try at best to adapt to it.

I want to bring him a certain confidence in the subject as well as the desire to learn, aspects often neglected at school and which are often a source of academic failure.
