From beginner to university student, I can teach you electric guitar, acoustic guitar, or ukulele. With 16 years of guitar playing experience and Bachelors Degree in Jazz & Contemporary Popular music, I've had the opportunity to play Jazz, RnB, Folk/Singersongwriter, Bluegrass, Funk, Heavy Metal, Rock. From Jazz Bigbands and Musical Pitbands, to accompanying singer songwriters, to playing solo guitar concerts. I know how the guitar fits into many different types of ensembles and with many styles of music.

I'm now studying a Master of Jazz Composition and Arranging at KUG in Graz and I love to help others understanding complex musical theory and how it can be used to write new music! I love writing music for Bigband, Classical Chamber ensembles, and small jazz ensembles as well as for singer-songwriters.

English is of course my mother tongue but I would be happy to teach in German as well!

I graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with a bachelor's degree in jazz guitar and am currently pursuing a master's degree, which I expect to complete in 2026. Starting in 2025, I will also be studying IGP (instrumental and vocal pedagogy) in jazz guitar at the KUG.

With over 9 years of teaching experience – from my beginnings in Athens, Greece, to my current residence in Graz, Austria – I have worked with students of all ages and experience levels.

Dive deeper into the structure of music and learn how to write your own pieces.

We work specifically on your technique – e.g. alternate picking, sweep picking, hybrid picking, legato, etc.

I am a cellist, composer and pianist from Chicago currently residing in Graz, Austria! I received my Bachelors in Cello and Composition in the USA from Indiana University and am currently pursuing my masters in Cello Konzertfach at Kunst Universität Graz. I have years of experience working as a private cello, piano and composition teacher. I am used teaching all levels, and have certification to teach string students as young as six years old from Indiana University's String Academy Program. In addition to teaching instrumental and composition lessons privately, I also have experience teaching music theory and aural skills as a graduate teaching assistant.

I adjust my teaching based on what you or your child would like to learn. From helping you learn to play a Bach cello suite, to Bohemian Rhapsody on piano, or get feedback and mentorship on your own compositions, I would be happy to play a part in your musical journey! :)

So... simply learning scales and theory isn't my approach. (although there's no way around it haha)

Everything you experience and have experienced contributes to who you are and will become as a musician. It shapes your expression with and without a guitar, and above all, the way you learn.

So, of course, we look at the technique and playing styles, but just as importantly, we look at what aspects of mindset and personal development contribute to the musical development. A lot happens there :)

My name is Giuseppe and I'm an Italian musician living in Graz.

Before moving, I worked as a guitar and music theory teacher at a music school, as I have a degree in electric guitar.

During my studies and my work as a player and teacher, I studied and played different types of music, from blues, rock, to the most extreme metal.

I am available for online and private lessons, but also as a session man in the studio or for concerts.

These have helped me win 15 competitions and perform in numerous concerts in Lithuania, Belgium, and Austria. That's why I want to share everything I've learned with you, so you can discover the world of the classical guitar and fall in love with it!

In class, we will look together at how to work on a piece independently and play it by heart.
There are also practical exercises for technique and musicality – and a bit of music theory to help you better understand how the guitar and music work together.
