In these courses, you will learn all of the fundamentals of this exciting work – from how to identify a good story and interview sources, to developing narratives and writing powerfully and credibly. I have been a professional journalist, editor, and publisher in Europe and the US for more than 35 years. I have worked for the New York Times Co. and have won many journalism awards, including the top investigative journalism award in the US.

Chinese is a complex language but don't let that stop you from learning it. My lessons will focus on communication and pronoucniation as I believe they will give students the confidence they need to pursue learning any language. I will use pinyin as a method of teaching native pronounciation. There will be writing templates prepared to help with correct writing. I am flexible to offer any help with the language depending on the student's familiarity of the language. Unfortunately I do not speak Dutch, but I do speak fluent English so I will be able to translate from Chinese to English for better understanding.

Most people need to revise the basics of language over and over again in order to master it, and having a good knowledge of how the language works at its core, i.e. its grammar, will help improve one's language skills drastically. I think the best way of learning a language is by familiarizing yourself with it. I therefore like to conduct my lessons mainly in the target language. Moreover, I will tailor my lesson to the students' needs, a language has 4 core parts (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking), and each of us has different strong points and weaknesses when it comes to expressing ourselves in a second language.
