My lessons are primarily for adults. You can be needing a coach for an audition or a full production, maybe you want to find that spark again by trying a different method, or you might want to try acting out, great! I can adjust to whatever you need. My lessons are at least an hour or more. I have a vocal/light physical warm-up that I like to do at the beginning of subsequent lessons. I remember one of my first teachers saying "An actor should be a blank canvas." And this made sense at first. So I went up on our small stage to do a monologue and it was terrible. My teacher said, "Kamil, you didn't really do anything." "Well, yeah? I am a blank canvas" As a neurodiverse person, I am overanalytical, literal, incredibly anxious and have difficulty speaking with full confidence. However, my Master's level education from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School has given me a toolkit where I can work towards placing my self-doubt and uncertainty behind 'The Work.' The Work is the hours you've spent in the text, the pencil markings in the script, the crinkled pages from taking it in and out of your backpack. It's the objective truth that you can rely on when your self-awareness doesn't want you to be the character, when you can feel an audience member looking at you, when the person behind the camera laughs at something you didn't inherently think was funny. It's your character's lifesaver. For those that may require more structure when they receive text, I can help you deconstruct that overwhelming building into its key components. Whether it's from a play you've been newly cast in, a voiceover script you can't wrap your head around, or just a simple self-tape, we can work to break down text that lets BE that blank canvas on the day, but you know what paints you've used, what strokes you can utilise, you know the feel of the paintbrush from all the canvases you've practised on. Also, it's a good way to memorise lines. And that's just a nice bonus.

Learn rigorous technique first, and THEN break the rules. As a classically trained artist in drawing and painting, I offer private tutoring that emphasizes mastering the fundamentals to develop accomplished, technically skilled artists who can confidently express their creativity. My approach is structured, rigorous, and designed to push students to achieve their best. While some may find my method strict, I believe in teaching the rules thoroughly so that you can confidently break them later. What I Offer: Foundational Skills: Strengthen your abilities in line work, value, proportion, perspective, and texture to build a robust technical base. Composition & Framing: Understand how to structure engaging artwork through thoughtful layout, balance, and spatial design. Rigorous Critique: Receive honest, constructive feedback to identify areas for growth and refine your individual hand. Unique Assignments with Clear Goals: Each project is tailored to address specific skills or concepts: contrast, scale, accuracy, perspective, and still life vs narrative-driven styles are just a few examples. Diverse Areas of Focus: Explore various disciplines, including: 2D design Still-life Architectural drawing Human anatomy and figure drawing Portrait drawing Illustration Media and Techniques: I guide students in mastering traditional drawing media, including graphite, charcoal, conte, pen and ink, and technical pens. Additionally, if the student progresses, I will offer opportunities to explore printmaking techniques such as silverpoint, etching, and linocut to expand their artistic repertoire. My Approach and Expectations: I teach with the belief that discipline and dedication are essential for artistic growth. My sessions combine hands-on demonstrations, guided practice, and critical discussions to ensure students gain a comprehensive understanding of both technical and conceptual aspects of drawing. While I set high expectations, I also offer the support and tools needed for students to rise to the challenge. After most sessions, I assign homework to be completed by the next class. I certainly expect my younger students especially to complete these assignments. While my lessons are technical and follow strict parameters, there is plenty of opportunity for students to choose their own subjects and designs. I also highly recommend my student take excellent notes during my demonstrations and instruction time. I will always share my own notes and sketch journals so the student has a goal in mind. After a section of tuition has been completed (equal to a half term) I examine the notes and give feedback. Who Can Benefit: Beginners aiming to establish strong technical foundations Intermediate students refining their composition and conceptual skills Advanced artists seeking rigorous critique and structured challenges Portfolio builders preparing for art schools or professional opportunities With a focus on both mastery and creativity, I help students develop the skills and confidence to create meaningful, rule-breaking artwork.

It might be easy to find an average guitar teacher, but genuine insight is much harder to come by - over the years, I've seen it all, and I want to use my experience to help you! ABOUT ME I am a friendly, solid, inspiring, patient, real-world music teacher, with over a decade's experience as a working, touring, studying, writing, teaching, musician! APPROACH Creating a nice atmosphere is really important to me. I'd love to know more about your goals and what excites you - your dreams might be as big as building a career in music, or as small as being able to perform a few songs to no-one but yourself and your cat. Anything and everything in between is totally valid and worth exploring! THINGS I CAN HELP WITH - How to get the most from music, whether that be through following a grade system, or just learning how to play the music you love. - Getting to that "next level" of guitar playing, wherever you are at the moment - Organising the fretboard, rhythm, inspiration, what to practice (at any level) - Providing helpful real-world context for the things you might be learning at school/college/university/YouTube - Songwriting/Arranging/Production, from very first steps to advanced concepts - Blocks/worries you might have about any aspect of music, or a kind of music coaching role (I'm not a licensed therapist but I'm here for it!) FIRST LESSON This would be an introductory session, where we get a feel for each other and what your aims are. By having a chat, I find that "what we should work on" flows pretty naturally from this, and we'd be able to set out a rough syllabus of what we would work on for the next while. FURTHER INFO/EXPERIENCE - Professional musician for over a decade, most notably touring as a guitarist with US Artists Theo Katzman and May Erlewine, as well as a Fleetwood Mac tribute show. - Taught 1-on-1 and ensemble lessons both privately and in schools, with a wiiiiide range of ability levels. - I produce and release my own original music with 17k monthly listeners. - Have worked as a session guitarist on a huge variety of genres (I can help you with pretty much any kind of music you can think of, but I'll be open and upfront with you if I feel my expertise doesn't match what you want. I'll be sorry to disappoint you that my, say, Bulgarian Folk knowledge isn't too hot...) - Have composed/arranged music for national TV ad campaigns (TUI, Redbull and Vodafone IE)
