Trusted teacher: - If you are tired of paying tutoring organizations that send you students who have the knowledge but not the pedagogy... - If you are tired of only finding highly qualified teachers while your daughter is only in 5th grade... You have come across the right ad! ★ I am versatile: I can help your children with French and Maths. I can also help them in English and Spanish but I should point out that I am not trilingual, I provide academic support. ★ I'm listening: A prior discussion with parents is essential in order to know precisely the academic problems of their children and to best guide my lessons. I also like to ask the children afterwards what their difficulties are to see if parents and children have the same perception. When the assessment is established, I question the students on what they are studying in class with a view to following the program while trying to review specific points that have not been assimilated. I mainly use their courses and their textbooks so that my students keep their bearings, but if necessary I use the material I have. ★ I am a translator of incomprehensible courses: Indeed, the lessons are completely incomprehensible for most students. They are formalized in a way that no teenager can understand them. All students have the potential to become good as long as the concepts are well explained. My mission is therefore to simplify them and transcribe them into clear language. ★ I am methodical: I have improved my working methods through my 8 years of teaching. They are based on understanding and not on rote learning. The students must be able to re-explain their lesson to me and thus demonstrate that it has been completely understood. I give exercises of increasing difficulty and which allow optimal progression. I can also give exercises to do for the next session. When there is time left, I even take the opportunity to move forward with the program so that they get the best possible grades! ★ I am a coach with a psychological approach: During my adolescence, I was school phobic and that's why I do everything to help my students feel better at school. I'm not just here to help them with their homework. All my lessons are personalized because each student is different. I like to know how they perceive the subject, if they appreciate their teachers in class, the job they want to do later... I make a point of letting my students find the solutions to the exercises on their own so that they are proud of themselves. In addition, I will encourage them to develop a taste for effort (pay attention to their spelling and write neatly) in order to systematically produce quality work and gain self-esteem. I restore confidence in my students because it is important that they are happy and motivated to be effective in their work. ★ I do my job with pleasure: I like to pass on knowledge and see my students progress. Teaching is for me a real pleasure and not a nutritional need. I therefore offer real supervision throughout the school year. Observation, listening, work and encouragement are the 4 pillars of my teaching. The goal is for them to be autonomous and independent at the end of the school year! My lessons boil down to this: good humor and efficiency! ★ Hours: - Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. - Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ★ Classes at your home in Paris: ★ Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions because I am very responsive on Apprentus (around 1 hour). We will therefore be able to organize a first course quickly. See you soon !

Dear, Student in Master of Psycho-Sociology and employee at Kangourou Kids, I would really like to be an integral part of your teaching team. As part of homework help with children aged 12 and 10, I was able to put into practice my theoretical knowledge in teaching that I assimilated in class and through my personal reading. I was able to discover how essential soft skills are to the exercise of this profession because these skills make it possible to understand the student by apprehending his mental paterns and thought architectures in order to adapt to them. By securing it, they lead the student to get out of anxiety-provoking paradigms such as the fear of failure, the overestimation of the difficulty, the devaluation of his aptitudes which inhibit learning. Obstacles often arise from vicious circles where the more the student encounters concerns, the more he will lose interest in the subject. Subsequent to his unpleasant experience, this can lead him to lose interest, unfortunately even to the point of rejecting the discipline by cutting off its appropriation (for example: "maths, it's not for me"). Negative experiences induce avoidance and flight-thought behaviors such as loss of concentration and digressions. Teaching fascinates me because it allows to short-circuit these mental reflexes and to propose alternative methods to those previous when the latter did not correspond to the student. Over the course of the successes, the child again welcomes the reading grids specific to the subject. This relearning process contributes to giving him the keys to being comfortable with the ways of thinking conveyed by the discipline. There will be a virtuous circle where the more easily he handles these mental tools, the more confidence in him and in discipline will be self-evident. This approach will be very encouraging and his relationship with the material will become fulfilling. The challenge of the teacher is then to discover the methods that appeal to the student, which are a source of motivation, of satisfaction, to transmit the desire to learn. Each student has their unique ways of translating reality, preferences, aspirations and skills that are fascinating to explore because this is what will make their individuality and the pride of their parents. Understanding the student is essential to find the most suitable approach to his mental processes and thus personalize his acquisition of knowledge because by giving more meaning, the student incorporates the heuristic fabric and the methodological insights of the sciences. Thanking you for the attention paid to my request, please accept, Madam, Sir, the expression of my respectful greetings. Yours, Ophelia

Rayen Ranim
Rayen made an effort to contact me prior to the lesson to determine my level and inquire what I wished to focus on. She also called at the agreed upon time. These may seem like minor details, but not all teachers do these. She had appropriate level material ready to share and go over for the lesson. She made corrections as needed and readings were repeated as necessary. My only suggestion would be that she speak a bit more slowly. but this is a matter of individual taste.
